Jillian Hatch<\/strong> of Clovis Swim Club, who had taken home two third place finishes in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly last night, came back tonight to win the 200 fly in a time of 2:17.84 – the only one in the field under 2:18. Sixteen year olds Danielle Nowaski<\/strong> of College Area Swim Team\u00a0and Hanna Erickson<\/strong> of Mission Viejo took second and third in times of\u00a02:18.22 and 2:19.44 respectively.<\/p>\n

Thomas Hall<\/strong>, who had also won the 100 butterfly the night before, won the 200 tonight in 2:03.81 dropping almost 4 seconds off his best time from July. Min Zhi Chua<\/strong> and Uriel Tejeda<\/strong> both dropped almost 3 seconds from their entry times to take second and third in the event.<\/p>\n

Leanna Gharbaoui<\/strong> won the women’s 50 freestyle by a hair, out touching Sara Delay<\/strong> by 3 hundreths of a second, winning in 26.59 to delay’s 26.62. Yet the most exciting feature of this race was a three way tie between Kailyn Winter<\/strong> of Quicksilver Swimming, Eleanor Beers<\/strong> of Bainbridge Island Swim Club, and Mya Jackson<\/strong> of Fusion Aquatics. The three girls touched simultaneously in 26.71<\/p>\n

The men’s 50 free was much more clear cut as Alex Chan<\/strong> of Iolani Swim Club won in 23.23, blowing past his best time by over half a second. Zachary Allen<\/strong> and Nathan Yates<\/strong> took second and third respectively.<\/p>\n

Tonight was a night of repeats, as second place finisher in the 100 breaststroke Tegan Preston<\/strong> won the 200 breaststroke in 2:35.54, going well under the 2:40 barrier for the first time in her career. Sarah Savage<\/strong> also joined Preston under 2:40 to come second in 2:39.75. 100 breaststroke winner Katrina Hage<\/strong> took third in 2:40.04, just missing the mark.<\/p>\n

Brandon Stride<\/strong> of Gold’s Aquatics Club took first in the men’s 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:22.44, while Katelyn Laderoute<\/strong> won the 100 backstroke in 1:03.93 – the only girl under 1:04 in the field and her first time under the mark.<\/p>\n

Michael Petrides<\/strong>, a member of Hawaii’s 2016 Oceanic Championships team, won the 100 backstroke in 57.94 – an impressive drop from his entry time of 59.71. Kyle Millis<\/strong> of Bellevue Club Swim Team out touched King Aquatic’s Tyler Lu<\/strong> 58.53 to 58.56.<\/p>\n

Jasmine O’Brien<\/strong> won the women’s 400 freestyle in 4:22.71, while Petrides came back to immediately pick up another win in the men’s 400 freestyle – breaking the four minute barrier for the first time to win in 3:59.67.<\/p>\n
