Sjostrom, along with Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong>, each won two events on day two of the meet.<\/p>\n<p>Read below for event-by-event full coverage from Moscow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2017-fina-world-cup-moscow-day-two-finals-day-2-international-elite-2017-08-02.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Full results<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 IM<\/h3>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov\u00a0<\/strong>did not come close to his own world record but he pulled away from countryman\u00a0<strong>Sergei Fesikov<\/strong> on the back half to take the victory in his first event of the day. Morozov recorded a time of 51.04 for the top spot, about three-quarters of a second short of his world-record time of 50.30.<\/p>\n<p>Fesikov finished second in 51.78, while\u00a0<strong>Kenneth To<\/strong>, competing for Hong Kong for the first time after previously representing Australia, came in third at 51.97.<\/p>\n<p>Belarus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Pavel Sankovich<\/strong> took fourth in 52.25, and fifth went to Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> (52.54). Heintz had previously won the 100 IM one day earlier. Neck and neck the entire way, Krashnykh just had a bit more in the tank on the final 50 meters to get the job done.<\/p>\n<p>Norway&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Henrik Christiansen\u00a0<\/strong>stayed close enough to the top three to secure a third-place finish, touching in 3:39.88.<\/p>\n<p>Poland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wojiech Wojdak<\/strong> took fourth in 3:41.26, and then there was a big gap back to fifth-place finisher\u00a0<strong>Alexander Fedorov\u00a0<\/strong>of Russia (3:45.47). Two weeks ago, she had never set a world record in the 50 or 100 free, but she know owns the records in both distances in both short and long course.<\/p>\n<p>Sjostrom broke the two long course world record at the FINA World Championships in Budapest before taking down\u00a0<strong>Ranomi Kromowidjojo&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>50 free record Wednesday in Moscow.<\/p>\n<p>Kromowidjojo, representing the Netherlands, finished second to Sjostrom in this Moscow final, coming at 51.14 &#8212; quicker than the previous World Cup record of 51.14 set by\u00a0<strong>Fran Halsall\u00a0<\/strong>in 2009. Campbell finished third in 51.59.<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Femke Heemskerk\u00a0<\/strong>took fourth in 51.98, and Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Federica Pellegrini\u00a0<\/strong>tied with Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Veronika Popova\u00a0<\/strong>for fifth in 52.99. Kawecki was the World Short Course champion in the event last year but missed out on the semi-finals in the 200 back at last week&#8217;s World Championships in Budapest.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Masaki Kaneko<\/strong> finished second in 1:49.93, and Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christian Diener\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 1:50.37. Well back in fourth was Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grigory Tarasevich<\/strong> (1:52.55), and Poland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jakub Skierka\u00a0<\/strong>took fifth in 1:54.64.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong>, the world record-holder in the event, finished a surprising sixth in 1:53.30. Hosszu won the race in 2:04.76, almost three seconds off her world record of 2:01.86.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> came in second at 2:07.64, and Poland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alicja Tchorz<\/strong> took third in 2:08.13.
