Lacourt swam a 24.35 to win the gold medal ahead of Japan&#8217;s <strong>Junya Koga<\/strong> (24.51) and USA&#8217;s <strong>Matt Grevers<\/strong> (24.56). The top three medalists are all over the age of 30.<\/p>\n<p>France&#8217;s <strong>Jeremy Stravius<\/strong> (24.61), China&#8217;s <strong>Xu Jiayu<\/strong> (24.74), USA&#8217;s <strong>Justin Ress<\/strong> (24.77), Belarus&#8217; <strong>Pavel Sankovich<\/strong> (24.83) and Israel&#8217;s <strong>Jonatan Kopelev<\/strong> (24.85) also competed in the championship final.<\/p>\n<p>Lacourt is the first swimmer to win three straight 50 back titles in the event&#8217;s short history.
