For the women,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Smoliga<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Katie Meili<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sarah Gibson<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Mallory Comerford\u00a0<\/strong>will compete.<\/p>\n<p>Meili was the silver medalist behind fellow American\u00a0<strong>Lilly\u00a0<\/strong><strong>King\u00a0<\/strong>in the 100 breast, while Smoliga and Comerford each finished fourth in their 100-meter events.<\/p>\n<p>Australia will also go with a &#8220;B&#8221; team for the women&#8217;s relay, with\u00a0<strong>Holly Barratt<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jessica Hansen<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Brianne Throssell<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Shayna Jack<\/strong> scheduled to compete. China&#8217;s team, however, should be close to its best, and Canada leads off with 100 back world record-setter\u00a0<strong>Kylie Masse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side,\u00a0<strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cody Miller<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tim Phillips\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Townley Haas\u00a0<\/strong>will swim. Murphy and Miller actually swam in the finals of this relay at the Rio Olympics, but\u00a0<strong>Matt Grevers<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Kevin Cordes\u00a0<\/strong>will handle those responsibilities in Budapest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>is expected to handle the fly leg in finals and\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>the free. Dressel is the World Champ in both the 100 free and 100 fly, but the presence of veteran relay anchor\u00a0Adrian makes the decision on where to put Dressel an easy choice.<\/p>\n<p>Great Britain will go with\u00a0<strong>Chris Walker-Hebborn<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ross Murdoch<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>James Guy\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Duncan Scott\u00a0<\/strong>in the morning. That team would itself be a medal contender in the final, but adding in 100 breast world record-holder\u00a0<strong>Adam Peaty\u00a0<\/strong>makes the Brits the only legitimate challenger to an American gold.<\/p>\n<p>For Australia,\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin\u00a0<\/strong>leads off and\u00a0<strong>Cameron McEvoy<\/strong> anchors, while Japan should have a strong opening two legs with\u00a0<strong>Ryosuke Irie\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Yasuhiro Koseki<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The lineups have been announced for the preliminary heats of the final two relays on the FINA World Championships schedule, the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s 400 medley relay.
