In this morning’s final rounds of high diving in Budapest, the women competed their second and third dives for a spot on the podium.<\/p>\n
Rhiannan Iffland<\/strong>, the rising star from Australia came out on top. Not only is this her first appearance at worlds, her first ever cliff diving competition was just last year.<\/p>\n As part of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, she became the youngest female to ever win a\u00a0Red Bull Cliff diving event at 24 years old. She didn’t just win an event though, Iffland won the whole World Series earlier this year.<\/p>\n Iffland was one of the three women tied for second after the first round yesterday, but took first place after her second dive and held onto it. She received no scores lower than an 8 from the judges, winning by 12 points.<\/p>\n The second place finisher was Adriana Jimenez<\/strong>\u00a0from Mexico. She was another one of the women who was tied for second place after the first round yesterday.<\/p>\n Jimenez’s\u00a0final dive pushed her up from fourth to second. It was a back triple pike, a dive with\u00a0a degree of difficulty of 4.0. She earned 9s and 9.5s from the judges, coming to a grand total of 110.0 points towards her total.<\/p>\n Yana Nestsiarava<\/strong>\u00a0from Belarus came in third place.
