free relay at the FINA World Championships two years ago in Kazan, but it was the Dutch claiming the top seed over the USA for the event&#8217;s finals.\u00a0<strong>Ben Schwietert\u00a0<\/strong>(48.97),\u00a0<strong>Kyle Stolk\u00a0<\/strong>(48.06),\u00a0<strong>Femke Heemskerk\u00a0<\/strong>(52.77) and\u00a0<strong>Maud Van Der Meer\u00a0<\/strong>(54.09) combined to finish in 3:23.89.<\/p>\n<p>The American team of\u00a0<strong>Blake Pieroni\u00a0<\/strong>(48.23),\u00a0<strong>Townley Haas\u00a0<\/strong>(48.32),\u00a0<strong>Lia Neal\u00a0<\/strong>(53.98) and\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>(53.40) qualified four hundredths back in 3:23.93.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams will likely make changes for the final, with\u00a0<strong>Ranomi Kromowidjojo\u00a0<\/strong>coming in for the Netherlands, and\u00a0<strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mallory Comerford<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>all possibilities for the Americans (although Dressel&#8217;s busy event schedule makes his participation less likely).<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#8217;s team of\u00a0<strong>Yuri Kisil\u00a0<\/strong>(48.57),\u00a0<strong>Markus Thormeyer\u00a0<\/strong>(49.35),\u00a0<strong>Sandrine Mainville\u00a0<\/strong>(53.75) and\u00a0<strong>Chantal Van Landeghem\u00a0<\/strong>(53.40) qualified third in 3:25.07, and\u00a0<strong>Penny Oleksiak\u00a0<\/strong>could join the team at night.<\/p>\n<p>Also making the final were Hungary (3:25.45), Italy (3:25.71), Japan (3:26.91), Russia (3:26.94) and Australia (3:27.49).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-attachment-id=\"269581\"
