The event is part of day six prelims at the meet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/men-800-free-relay-prelims.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to view the full lineups.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The United States will go with a team of\u00a0<strong>Conor Dwyer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Clark Smith<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jay Litherland\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Zane Grothe<\/strong>. Notably, this squad is without\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong>, the World Champion in the 100 free Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p>Dressel will compete in the first two rounds of both the 50 free and 100 fly Friday, and his coach,\u00a0<strong>Gregg Troy<\/strong>, had indicated at U.S. Nationals that Dressel might not compete in all the events he had qualified for. Litherland, who finished seventh in the 200 free at Nationals and later made the team in the 400 IM, will fill the spot.<\/p>\n<p>200 free silver medalist\u00a0<strong>Townley Haas<\/strong> will join the squad in the finals, along with 200 free ninth-place finisher\u00a0<strong>Blake Pieroni<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Great Britain, which upset the Americans to win the World title two years ago in Kazan, will swim with a squad of\u00a0<strong>Stephen Milne<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Grainger<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Calum Jarvis\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Duncan Scott<\/strong>. Scott and\u00a0<strong>James Guy<\/strong>, both finalists in the 200 free, will key Britain&#8217;s hopes at a repeat title in the final.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s relay includes 100 free finalist\u00a0<strong>Jack Cartwright\u00a0<\/strong>and 400 free finalist\u00a0<strong>David McKeon<\/strong>. Distance star\u00a0<strong>Mack Horton<\/strong> will come on for the finals relay.<\/p>\n<p>Japan will lead off with\u00a0<strong>Kosuke Hagino<\/strong>, while Russia&#8217;s lineup includes\u00a0<strong>Danila Izotov\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Nikita Lobintsev<\/strong>.
