He won his heat in 7:45.31, about one second ahead of Poland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wojciech Wojdak<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Wojdak ended up qualifying second in 7:46.39, and third went to Norway&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Henrik Christiansen<\/strong> in 7:47.61. The No. 4 seed also came from that same heat as Austria&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Felix Auboeck<\/strong> touched in 7:49.24.<\/p>\n<p>In the final heat of the event, China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sun Yang\u00a0<\/strong>finished just ahead of Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gabriele Detti<\/strong>. Sun touched in 7:49.28, while Detti came in at 7:49.67.
