IN an upset victory, Duke&#39;s Abby Johnston toppled defending champion Kelci Bryant of Minnesota for the women&#39;s three-meter diving title at the NCAA Division I Women&#39;s Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Johnston compiled 409.35 points for the victory, Duke&#39;s first ever in the three-meter at NCAAS.  Bryant, meanwhile, could not build off her one-meter victory last night to defend her three-meter title.  Bryant finished second with 395.85 points.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I just wanted to relax,&quot; Johnson said. &quot;I didn&#39;t have the best preliminary round, but I knew I had something better in me. I just told myself to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. To get to this championship has been on my goal list for the past three years. I&#39;m glad it finally came true. It&#39;s been bugging me, because I wanted it so badly. I knew I had the potential, and it all came together tonight so that&#39;s really exciting.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Purdue&#39;s Erin Mertz (373.90), Ohio State&#39;s Bianca Alvarez (351.65), Florida&#39;s Monica Dodson (350.85), Miami (Florida)&#39;s Carrie Dragland (347.95), Texas&#39; Shelby Cullinan (345.50) and Texas&#39; Maren Taylor (334.20) also competed in the championship finale.<\/p>\n<p>California kept leading the team title with 261 points, while Georgia stood second with 234.5 points.
