Both the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s 400 free relays will be held on the first day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-worlds-women-400-free-relay-prelims.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Women&#8217;s relay lineups<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-worlds-men-400-free-relay-prelims.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Men&#8217;s relay lineups<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Notably,\u00a0<strong>Mallory Comerford\u00a0<\/strong>will make her World Championships debut as the anchor leg of the U.S. women&#8217;s 400 free relay, swimming with\u00a0<strong>Lia Neal<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Olivia Smoliga<\/strong>. The U.S. will rest\u00a0<strong>Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>and also\u00a0<strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong>, who should both join the team in finals.<\/p>\n<p>Ledecky was only sixth in the 100 free at U.S. Nationals last month, but she anchored the U.S. squad to a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics. She also will swim the individual 400 free on day one.<\/p>\n<p>The other two Olympic medalists from Rio, Australia and Canada, are also resting key players in the morning. Australia goes with\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Madison Wilson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Brittany Elmslie\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Shayna Jack<\/strong>, resting\u00a0<strong>Bronte Campbell\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Emma McKeon<\/strong>, while Canada&#8217;s relay, sans\u00a0<strong>Penny Oleksiak<\/strong>, includes\u00a0<strong>Sandrine Mainville<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Michelle Toro<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rebecca Smith\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Kayla Sanchez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s relay, the favored Americans will go with\u00a0<strong>Blake Pieroni<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Michael Chadwick<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Zach Apple<\/strong> and <strong>Townley Haas<\/strong>.
