The final session was highlighted by a number of close races- from the 100 freestyles the whole way up to the 800.<\/p>\n<p>Mid-Michigan&#8217;s 14 year old\u00a0<strong>Lola Mull\u00a0<\/strong>chopped nearly 40 seconds off her seed time to win the women&#8217;s mile. She touched in 16:51.30. Just over 17 minutes was\u00a0<strong>Emma Bradley\u00a0<\/strong>in 17:01.50. Touching third was Club Wolverine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Georgia Mosher\u00a0<\/strong>with a 17:09.97.<\/p>\n<p>In the final 100 meters Bearcat Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Christopher Bready\u00a0<\/strong>pulled away from Dayton Raiders&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Eric Knowles\u00a0<\/strong>to win the men&#8217;s 800 8:14.78 to 8:16.19.\u00a0<strong>Skyler Cook-Weeks\u00a0<\/strong>of MI Lakeshore grabbed bronze (8:24.64).<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Meg Bailey\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the 200 IM in 2:15.05. MI Lakeshore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kathryn Ackerman\u00a0<\/strong>placed second in 2:18.02 while Ohio State Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Molly Kowal\u00a0<\/strong>(2:19.57) secured third.<\/p>\n<p>Ackerman&#8217;s teammate\u00a0<strong>Kyle Maas\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock in 2:02.45 to win the men&#8217;s event. He was followed by the Mason Manta Ray&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/mason-manta-rays-break-another-15-16-nag-relay-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Age Group record setting relay<\/a> member\u00a0<strong>Carson Foster\u00a0<\/strong>with a 2:03.65. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/grant-house-commits-to-bob-bowman-and-asu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Arizona State commit<\/a>\u00a0<strong>Grant House\u00a0<\/strong>placed third (2:05.08).<\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 100 freestyle was a close one.\u00a0<strong>Olivia Schmelzer\u00a0<\/strong>got to the wall first. The Lancaster YMCA 17 year old posted a 56.96 to win the event. Ohio State Swim Club teammates\u00a0<strong>Macie McNichols\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Maria Coy\u00a0<\/strong>finished just .01 apart in times of 57.10 and 57.11.<\/p>\n<p>Upper Arlington&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Parker Neri\u00a0<\/strong>clocked a 50.63 to grab gold in the men&#8217;s 100 freestyle. This event also featured a close finish. House edged Cincinnati Marlins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Justin Grender\u00a0<\/strong>51.51 to 51.52 for second place.<\/p>\n<p>In this morning&#8217;s relays the Mason Manta Rays team of\u00a0<strong>Cora Dupre<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Lauren Olson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Hannah Foster<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Ashley Volpenhein\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 1:45.39 to win the 200 freestyle relay. Behind them was Ohio State Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0Coy,\u00a0<strong>Marianne Kahmann<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Cook<\/strong>, and\u00a0McNichols<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:45.84.<\/p>\n<p>The Manta Ray&#8217;s teammates then followed them with a second place, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/mason-manta-rays-break-another-15-16-nag-relay-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">15-16 National Age Group record<\/a>.\u00a0The quartet of\u00a0<strong>Carson Foster\u00a0<\/strong>(23.68),\u00a0<strong>Jake Foster\u00a0<\/strong>(23.61),\u00a0<strong>Tyler Babinec\u00a0<\/strong>(24.36) and\u00a0<strong>Adam Chaney\u00a0<\/strong>(22.44) touched in 1:34.09. Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Clark Jackman<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mark Belanger<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nathan Christian<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Justin Dunn\u00a0<\/strong>(1:32.16) won the event.<\/p>\n<p>Kahmann, Coy, Bailey, and McNichols swam together to touch in 4:14.85 to win the women&#8217;s 400 medley relay by nearly three seconds.
