At that meet Licon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/will-licon-obliterates-american-record-in-200-breast\/\" target=\"_blank\">broke his own NCAA and American record in the 200 breast<\/a>, becoming the first man under 1:48 when he touched in 1:47.91.<\/p>\n<p>He most recently was selected for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ella-eastin-will-licon-ryan-held-headline-u-s-team-for-world-university-games\/\" target=\"_blank\">United States roster<\/a> for the World University Games in the 200 breast and 200 IM following his performance at 2017 U.S. Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Voting for the Big 12 Athlete of the Year will begin on July 23, when fans will have until July 25 to vote for the female and male nominees.
