UC Santa Barbara&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kevin Mendoza\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 53.85, and Trojan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sean Lee\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 54.72.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jade Hannah<\/strong>, a 15-year-old from Island Swim Club in Canada, won the women&#8217;s 100 fly in 1:00.24, while her teammate\u00a0<strong>Sarah Darcel\u00a0<\/strong>tied with La Mirada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Catherine Sanchez<\/strong> at 1:00.59.<\/p>\n<p>UBC Dolphins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Ingrid Wilm<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 100 back in 1:02.07, while Hannah, competing in back-to-back women&#8217;s races, was second in 1:02.36. Irvine Novaquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Ayla Spitz<\/strong> took third in 1:02.66.<\/p>\n<p>UC Santa Barbara&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Billy Mullis\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s 100 back in 55.97, taking down Rockwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Dolan\u00a0<\/strong>(56.51) and Rose Bowl&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Douglas Nogueira\u00a0<\/strong>(56.91).<\/p>\n<p>Island&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Faith Knelson<\/strong> took first in the women&#8217;s 100 breast in 1:08.45, almost a second ahead of Buenaventura&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ali Harrison\u00a0<\/strong>(1:09.36). Third went to Lake Oswego&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hillary Metcalfe\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:10.71. USC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mario Koenigsperger\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s 100 breast in 1:02.88, with\u00a0<strong>Warren Mayer\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.66) and\u00a0<strong>Henry Wu<\/strong> (1:05.20) completing the top three.<\/p>\n<p>Boise State&#8217;s<strong>\u00a0Emma Chard\u00a0<\/strong>touched out Mission Viejo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ella Ristic\u00a0<\/strong>to win the women&#8217;s 200 free, 2:02.18 to 2:02.22. UCSC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Danica Ludlow\u00a0<\/strong>was just behind in 2:02.45.<\/p>\n<p>Aces&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Griffin Eiber\u00a0<\/strong>took first in the men&#8217;s 200 IM in 2:04.93, followed by UBC Dolphins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Luke Reilly<\/strong> (2:05.83) and Rose Bowl&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Douglas Nogueira\u00a0<\/strong>(2:06.49).<\/p>\n<p>New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hayley McIntosh\u00a0<\/strong>picked up a five-second victory in the women&#8217;s 1500 free, finishing in 1703.48. Santa Clara&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sandra Soe\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 17:08.31, and\u00a0<strong>Juli Arzave\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 17:13.79.<\/p>\n<p>Mission Viejo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Noah Brune\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s distance event, the 800 free, with a final time of 8:13.74.\u00a0<strong>Ben Olszewski<\/strong> came in second at 8:18.34, and North Texas Nadadores&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Chris Lindley\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (8:21.64).<\/p>\n<p>The UBC Dolphins swept the 400 medley relays.\u00a0<strong>Ingrid Wilm<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ellie Maradyn<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Stefanie Serka\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Paige Bergen\u00a0<\/strong>combined to win the women&#8217;s relay in 4:18.40, and their teammates\u00a0<strong>Dan Gerlach<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ryder McGinnis<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Colin Eriks<\/strong> and Reilly picked up first in the men&#8217;s event in 3:56.48.<\/p>\n<p><em>All results can be found on Meet Mobile \u2013 2017 CA Los Angeles Invite (1)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tom Shields\u00a0did not make the U.S. World Championships team, but he took one more shot at his signature 100 fly for this season at the Los Angeles Invitational Sunday.
