Both ladies will be valuable, versatile additions to the Lady Vols.\u00a0The two join\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/hannah-foster-announces-verbal-commitment-to-tennessee-vols\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hannah Foster<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/tennessee-gets-verbal-commitment-from-swimmacs-sinclair-larson\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sinclair Larson<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with their verbal commitments to swim for the team.<\/p>\n<h3>Trude Rothrock<\/h3>\n<p>Rothrock swims for Carmel Swim Club and has been a piece of the historic Carmel High School state championship teams. She was the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/emily-weiss-breaks-lilly-kings-state-record-as-carmel-wins-31st-straight-indiana-girls-state-title\/\" target=\"_blank\">2017 Indiana High School<\/a> state champion in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p>Rothrock told\u00a0<em>Swimming World<\/em>,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I chose UT not only because of its excellent swimming program, but also because of the amazing culture of the team and the dedication of the coaches. They value hard work, but also enjoying the process and everything college swimming has to offer. Overall, it&#8217;s a great fit for me and I&#8217;m so excited to be a Vol!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Rothrock is a\u00a0very\u00a0versatile swimmer. Depending on how she develops, she gives the Tennessee coaching staff a number of options. Her best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 Fly 52.97<\/li>\n<li>100 Free 49.68<\/li>\n<li>200 Free 1:47.68<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 2:00.78<\/li>\n<li>400 IM 4:19.69<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Her best 100 butterfly time would have made her a B finalist at the 2017 SEC Championships.<\/p>\n<h3>Danika Katzer<\/h3>\n<p>Katzer swims for Virginia&#8217;s Coast Guard Blue Dolphins. Swimming for York High School she is the Virginia 3A state record holder in the 200 IM. At the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/records-fall-at-3a-virginia-high-school-states\/\" target=\"_blank\">2017 Virginia 3A Championships<\/a> she finished second in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke.<\/p>\n<p>Her top SCY times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 IM 1:59.58<\/li>\n<li>400 IM 4:16.52<\/li>\n<li>200 Free 1:49.40<\/li>\n<li>100 Breast 1:03.31<\/li>\n<li>200 Breast 2:15.96<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Katzer should also put up some SEC points for the Vols.
