The men&#8217;s event was followed by finals in women&#8217;s synchronized platform.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s one meter event, China took the top two spots. <strong>Peng Jianfeng<\/strong>\u00a0finished just 1.2 points ahead of teammate\u00a0<strong>He Chao.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The top six men finished with the same standings in finals as they did in preliminaries. The bronze medal is headed home with <strong>Giovanni Tocci<\/strong> from Italy, followed by <strong>Patrick Hausding<\/strong> of Germany,\u00a0<strong>Mike Hixon<\/strong> from the United States, an <strong>Oleg Kolodiy<\/strong> from Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>American <strong>Steele Johnson<\/strong>, who was the last to qualify for the final after wrapping up\u00a0preliminaries in the twelfth spot,\u00a0moved up to secure a seventh place finish.<\/p>\n<p>The highest scoring dive of the competition was Peng&#8217;s inward two and a half pike (405B), which he scores 86.7 points on. His back two and a half tuck (203C) followed close behind, receiving 9s from the judges and earning Peng 81 points.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s synchronized ten meter, the Chinese team finished on top again. <strong>Ren Qian<\/strong> collected her second gold in Budapest so far\u00a0with partner <strong>Si Yajje<\/strong>. The duo finished 16 points ahead of<strong> Rae Kim Mi<\/strong> and <strong>Kuk Hyang Kim\u00a0<\/strong>from the People&#8217;s Republic of Korea, and the Bronze medal was awarded to <strong>Panelela Pamg<\/strong> and<strong> Panelela Pamg<\/strong>, the team from Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>The three leading teams maintained their standings for the last three rounds of the event.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese women secured their gold with their final two dives, an inward three and a half tuck (407C) and a back two and a half with one and a half twists pike (5253B).
