Lochte recently completed a 10-month suspension resulting from his behavior at the conclusion of the Rio Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>Lochte is competing in an abbreviated program of events over the weekend, as he entered the 50 and 100 free and the 200 IM, and he is the top seed in two of those three events (100 free and 200 IM).<\/p>\n<p>The meet will be held at the USC pool, where Lochte has been training for several months under coach\u00a0<strong>Dave Salo<\/strong>. The meet will mark his first long course races since the Olympics in Rio and his first USA Swimming-sanctioned races. During his 10-month suspension, he did compete at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2017-us-masters-spring-national-championships\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. Masters Nationals<\/a> at the end of April, where he won a handful of races.<\/p>\n<p>Check out <em>Swimming World&#8217;s\u00a0<\/em>exclusive\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/off-deck-why-ryan-lochte-returned-to-compete-at-masters-nationals\/\" target=\"_blank\">video interview with Lochte<\/a> from Masters Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, Lochte and fiancee\u00a0<strong>Kayla Rae Reid<\/strong> welcomed a son,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ryan-lochte-caiden-zane-lochte\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Caiden Zane Lochte<\/strong><\/a>. He also plans to compete at the U.S. Open championships in New York later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Other notable names competing in LA this week include\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields<\/strong> and <strong>Kendyl Stewart<\/strong>.
