Vollmer actually competed while pregnant with Ryker at the Arena Pro Swim Series meet in Mesa, Ariz., back in April, and she\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/dana-vollmer-preparing-for-a-new-baby-boy-and-tokyo-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\">announced that her second child would be a boy when she wore a green racing suit instead of a pink one<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Vollmer returned to competition after giving birth to Arlen in time to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games, where she won one medal of each color.
