He was followed by <\/span><b>Nyls Korstanje <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the Netherlands in 22.49. Hungary\u2019s <\/span><b>Nandor Nemeth<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was third in 22.67.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fourth spot in the final goes to France\u2019s <\/span><b>Maxime Grousset<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 22.73. He was just ahead of Italy\u2019s <\/span><b>Leonardo Deplano<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 22.77. <\/span><b>Karol Ostrowski<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Poland touched fifth in 22.87.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seventh place went to Russia\u2019s <\/span><b>Kliment Kolesnikov<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 22.92, and Croatia\u2019s <\/span><b>Marin Ercegovic<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> rounded out the top eight in 22.96.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>Women\u2019s 50 Butterfly Semi-Final<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The top qualifier in the women\u2019s 50 butterfly final is Belarus\u2019s <\/span><b>Anastasiya Shkurdai <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in 26.75. Sweden\u2019s <\/span><b>Sara Junevik<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was second in 26.84. They were the only two swimmers under the 27 second barrier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Polina Egorova<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Russia was third in 27.19. She was followed by <\/span><b>Jana Vranic<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Croatia in 27.24 for fourth. Javier Chacon Mateos <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Daniel Gomez Diez Hector<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> finished in seventh and eighth place in times of 4:24.74 and 4:28.12, respectively<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Women\u2019s 100 Backstroke<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The only swimmer to break the one minute barrier, Russia\u2019s Polina Egorova set new European Junior and Championship Records in the women\u2019s 100 backstroke with her time of 59.62. She finished over a second ahead of her teammate, <\/span><b>Daria Vaskina<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who placed second in 1:00.90.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moldova\u2019s <\/span><b>Tatiana Salcutan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> placed third in 1:01.55. She was followed by Italy\u2019s <\/span><b>Tania Quaglieri<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for fourth in 1:01.72. Fifth place went to <\/span><b>Maryna Kolesnykova <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of Ukraine in 1:01.85.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Great Britain\u2019s <\/span><b>Lily Boseley<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> picked up sixth in 1:01.86, while Italian <\/span><b>Alessia Bianchi <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0claimed seventh in 1:01.94. <\/span><b>Laura Vanda Ilyes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Hungary rounded out the top eight in 1:02.76.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Men\u2019s 100 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Italy\u2019s <\/span>Nicolo\u2019 Martinenghi<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> set a new World Junior Record in the men\u2019s 100 breaststroke, swimming a time of 59.23. Martinenghi won the race by nearly two seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Second place went to Russia\u2019s <\/span><b>Evgenii Somov<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1:01.09. Another Italian, <\/span><b>Alessandro Pinzuti <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">placed third in 1:01.28. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Austria\u2019s <\/span><b>Valentin Bayer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> came in fourth in 1:02.22. Two polish swimmers, <\/span><b>Rafal Kusto<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Jan Kalusowski<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> finished in fifth and sixth in times of 1:02.53 and 1:02.62, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ukraine\u2019s <\/span><b>Mykyta Koptyelov<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took seventh in 1:02.82, while <\/span><b>Filip Chrapavy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Czech Republic was eighth in 1:03.48.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Women\u2019s 100 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ireland\u2019s <\/span><b>Mona McSharry <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won the women\u2019s 100 breaststroke by over a second in a time of 1:07.61. <\/span><b>Tes Schouten<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Netherlands followed McSharry for second place in 1:09.03. Sweden\u2019s <\/span><b>Hannah Brunzell<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> finished third in 1:09.59.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fourth place went to Poland\u2019s <\/span><b>Weronika Hallman<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1:09.65. Hallman just out touched Hungary\u2019s <\/span><b>Reka Vecsei<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who took fifith in 1:09.66. Another Polish swimmer, <\/span><b>Aleksandra Iwanowska<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, came in sixth in 1:10.22.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Russia\u2019s <\/span><b>Alena Chekhovskikh<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> placed seventh in 1:10.27, while Turkey\u2019s <\/span><b>Beste Samanci<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was eighth in 1:10.43.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Men\u2019s 200 Freestyle<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Moldova\u2019s Alexei Sancov <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">set a new World Junior record in the men\u2019s 200 freestyle with a time of 1:47.00. He finished just ahead of Hungary\u2019s <\/span><b>Nandor Nemeth<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who was second in 1:47.14.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Russia\u2019s <\/span><b>Ivan Girev<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> placed third in 1:48.13. Israeli teammates <\/span><b>Tomer Frankel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Denis Loktev<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> finished fourth and fifth in 1:48.69 and 1:48.78, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hungary\u2019s <\/span><b>Richard Marton<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> came in sixth in 1:49.27. <\/span><b>Antoni Kaluzynski<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Jakub Kraska<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, both of Poland, finished seventh and eighth in 1:49.70 and 1:51.58, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Women\u2019s 200 IM<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><b>Marrit Steenbergen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Netherlands won the women\u2019s 200 IM in a time of 2:13.69. Serbia\u2019s <\/span><b>Anja Crevar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took second place in 2:14.13, while Great Britain\u2019s <\/span><b>Alicia Wilson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> grabbed third in 2:14.60.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Italy\u2019s <\/span><b>Anna Pirovano<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was fourth in 2:14.63, just ahead of France\u2019s <\/span><b>Cyrielle Duhamel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who was fifth in 2:14.66. <\/span><b>Sofia Chichaikina<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> placed sixth in 2:17.99.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seventh place went to Greece\u2019s <\/span><b>Nikoletta Pavlopoulou <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in 2:18.08. Israel\u2019s <\/span><b>Lea Polonsky<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> rounded out the top eight in 2:20.43.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Men\u2019s 100 Butterfly<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><b>Egor Kuimov<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Russia set new European Junior and Championship records in the men\u2019s 100 butterfly with his time of 51.35. He finished just ahead of <\/span><b>Kristof Milak<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Hungary, who\u2019s 51.49 was good for second.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estonia\u2019s <\/span><b>Kregor Zirk<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took third place in 52.98. Switzerland\u2019s <\/span><b>Noe Ponti<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> placed fourth in 53.00. <\/span><b>Federico Burdisso<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Italy came in fifth in 53.34.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sixth place went to Norway\u2019s <\/span><b>Tomoe Zenimoto Hvas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a time of 53.52. Turkey\u2019s <\/span><b>Uemitcan Gueres<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was seventh in 54.04, while Italy\u2019s <\/span><b>Alberto Razzetti<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was just behind in 54.09 for eighth.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Women\u2019s 50 Butterfly<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><b>Anastasiya Shkurdai <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of Belarus won the women\u2019s 50 butterfly in 26.53. She led a trio of swimmers under 27 seconds, including 100 backstroke champion Polina Egrova of Russia who took second in 26.62. <\/span><b>Sara Junevik<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Sweden was also under 27, finishing third in 26.69.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fourth place went to the second Swedish swimmer, <\/span><b>Hanna Rosvall<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in 27.12. Poland\u2019s <\/span><b>Karolina Jurczyk<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took fifth in 27.16.
