If people knew of him, they most likely knew him as one of the members of the NC State&#8217;s 800 free relay that shocked Texas on the first night of NCAA&#8217;s in March. Last night, Ress turned heads when he beat Olympic gold medalists <strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong> and <strong>Matt Grevers<\/strong> in the final of the 50 back to clinch his spot on the team for Worlds.<\/p>\n<p>Ress showed he is more than just a 50 swimmer with the fastest time of the morning in the 100 back prelims. Ress swam a 53.27 to lead Murphy (53.56), Grevers and <strong>Jacob Pebley<\/strong> (53.72) into the A-final.
