Flickinger leads the women&#8217;s 200 fly ranks without the presence of longtime veteran <strong>Cammile Adams<\/strong>. Flickinger leads <strong>Cassidy Bayer<\/strong> and <strong>Hannah Saiz<\/strong> on the psych sheet.<\/p>\n<p>Shields leads a close crop of 1:55&#8217;s and 1:56&#8217;s after the retirement of <strong>Michael Phelps<\/strong>. Shields swam the event in Rio last summer but failed to reach the semi-finals; the only US swimmer to do so in Rio. Shields leads <strong>Chase Kalisz<\/strong> by 0.01 seconds and <strong>Pace Clark<\/strong> and <strong>Jack Conger<\/strong> are also within striking distance of the lead.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong> leads the 100 free seeds as she enters as the defending Olympic gold medalist. Manuel leads <strong>Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong>, <strong>Amanda Weir<\/strong> and <strong>Lia Neal<\/strong> on the psych sheet, all of whom are Olympians. <strong>Mallory Comerford<\/strong> and <strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong> are also within striking distance of getting on the relay for World Championships.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nathan Adrian<\/strong> is the top seed in the 100 free prelims ahead of young guns <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong>, <strong>Ryan Held<\/strong>, <strong>Michael Chadwick<\/strong> and <strong>Blake Pieroni<\/strong>. Outside of <strong>Conor Dwyer<\/strong>, Adrian (28) is six years older than the next oldest swimmer in the top eight (Chadwick and Held). It will certainly be youth vs. experience in the 100 free tomorrow as the US will look to put up a formidable performance before the World Championships.<\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 800 and men&#8217;s 1500 will be Tuesday morning and the fastest seeded heat will swim at night. <strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong> and <strong>Leah Smith<\/strong> are the top seeds in the 800 and <strong>True Sweetser<\/strong> and <strong>Robert Finke<\/strong> are the top seeds in the 1500.
