A story in the Record of Stockton reports that water polo player Merrill Moses&#39; Olympic medal &#8212; among other memorabilia commemorating the USA&#39;s silver-medal finish in Beijing &#8212; were stolen Dec. 28 from the home of Moses&#39; parents.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the silver medal, the ring and watch given to Moses for his accomplishments were stolen, as well as his parents&#39; jewelry and other possessions, were taken from the home when burglars ransacked it on Dec. 28.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;They took an enormous amount of stuff, but I&#39;m focusing on the watch, the ring and that medal, because it can&#39;t be replaced,&quot; said Moses&#39; mother, Marlene.<\/p>\n<p>A neighbor scared off the burglars before they could take any more belongings, the article states.<\/p>\n<p>This marks the third Olympian reporting stolen medals in less than a year. In February 2009, Melissa Belote Ripley&#39;s three gold medals from 1972 were stolen from her home in a suburb of Phoenix. Last April, Mike Troy&#39;s 1960 Olympic gold medals were stolen while at an event.
