This was the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/canyons-aquatics-down-boys-15-18-17-18-200-free-relay-nag-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">third NAG set the weekend of June 16-18<\/a>\u00a0across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The previous mark stood at 3:58.04 from 2014, when <strong>Carson Foster<\/strong>, <strong>Jacob McDonald<\/strong>, <strong>Ansel Froass<\/strong> and <strong>Kevin Thibodeaux<\/strong> of the Cincinnati Marlins set the standard.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, the Marlins were the first group of 12 and under boys to break the 4:00 barrier. Now, the foursome from Novaquatics has added yet another NAG to their team&#8217;s resume.<\/p>\n<p>The program has set numerous NAGs over the years, most recently besting the records in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/irvine-novaquatics-clips-13-14-national-age-group-record-in-200-free-relay\/\" target=\"_blank\">13-14 200 free relay<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/irvine-novaquatics-relay-breaks-national-age-group-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">10 &amp; Under 200 free relay.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The latter includes two of the same swimmers who set the 11-12 400 free relay mark this weekend:\u00a0Humberto Najera\u00a0and\u00a0Joey Chang.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Two years ago, they teamed up with\u00a0<strong>Joel Hernandez<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Mitchell Schott.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This time around, the boys had the following splits:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Cai &#8211; 57.51<\/p>\n<p>Najera &#8211; 59.05<\/p>\n<p>Chang &#8211; 58.68<\/p>\n<p>Grulke &#8211; 58.82<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is the first time a group of 12 and under boys have ever had all four swimmers split under 1:00.
