Indiana University is preparing a 90th birthday celebration later this month for Hobie Billingsley,<\/strong> one of the world\u2019s most influential figures in diving.<\/p>\n

At IU for 30 years, he led his divers to more than\u00a0100 national titles. He, too, was a national and NCAA champion and later became a four-time Olympic coach representing three different countries, a comedy diver, an author and speaker, founder of the American and World Diving Coaches Association, and was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1983.<\/p>\n

Known for his passion for the sport and profound belief in his divers, the Hall of Fame coach recently took time to speak with Swimming<\/em> World<\/em> Magazine<\/em>. In addition to his feature in\u00a0Swimming World Magazine,\u00a0<\/em>Billingsley recently published his autobiography\u00a0Challenge: How to Succeed Beyond Your Dreams<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
