The session begins at 5 p.m. PT.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/santa-clara-sunday-finals-heat-sheet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to view the full heat sheet.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Scratches were plentiful after the morning session &#8212; in fact, the 54th-ranked swimmer from the women&#8217;s 200 IM prelims ended up as one of the 36 coming back for finals &#8212; but four of the eight A-finals were unscathed.<\/p>\n<p>In the 200 fly, both the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s top seeds pulled out.\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>is done for the meet, leaving\u00a0<strong>Katie McLaughlin<\/strong> as the top-ranked swimmer in the women&#8217;s event, and\u00a0<strong>Chase Kalisz\u00a0<\/strong>is now the top seed for the men&#8217;s 200 fly final after\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields\u00a0<\/strong>pulled out to head home to Berkeley.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marina Garcia\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Kevin Cordes\u00a0<\/strong>remain the top seeds in their respective 100 breast races, while\u00a0<strong>Kylie Masse\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Grigory Tarasevich\u00a0<\/strong>are first in the 100 back. None of those championship finals were affected by scratches.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 200 IM,\u00a0<strong>Madisyn Cox\u00a0<\/strong>will go for her third victory of the meet.\u00a0<strong>Mackenzie Padington\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Allie Szekely\u00a0<\/strong>scratched that final, making way for\u00a0<strong>Kelly Fertel\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Danielle Hanus\u00a0<\/strong>to move into the championship heat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>has the top seed in the men&#8217;s 200 IM, while\u00a0<strong>Abrahm Devine\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Matthew Josa\u00a0<\/strong>withdrew from the event, allowing\u00a0<strong>Michael Weiss\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Gunnar Bentz<\/strong> to move up.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the meet will conclude with the women&#8217;s 800 free and men&#8217;s 1500 free.\u00a0<strong>Cierra Runge\u00a0<\/strong>has lane five for the women&#8217;s race, while\u00a0<strong>Kohei Kawamoto\u00a0<\/strong>is the only man seeded under 15:00 in the mile, with\u00a0<strong>True Sweetser\u00a0<\/strong>entered as the top American.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The heat sheets have been posted for the final night of competition at the 2017 arena Pro Swim Series meet in Santa Clara, Calif.
