As he leaves, he could not be more pleased with the infrastructure he\u2019s leaving behind.<\/p>\n<p>American swimmers won 31 Olympic medals in London in 2012 and 33 in Rio in 2016. Each time, the team won exactly half of the gold medals awarded in the pool with 16.
