Fort Collins Area Swim Team’s Bayley Stewart<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>has verbally committed to swim for the University of Notre Dame beginning in the 2018-2019 season. Stewart is primarily a backstroker who will be a huge addition to the Fighting Irish.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

“I love the family aspect of Notre Dame. When I walked onto the campus I immediately knew that it was the school for me. I have always wanted to find a school that would allow me to reach my goals in both swimming and academics without having to sacrifice one or the other. I think Notre Dame is the perfect fit for me and I am so excited to be part of the Notre Dame family.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Stewart is a member of the 15-18 National Age Group Record holding 200 medley relay. FAST set that mark of 1:38.84<\/a> in March. Stewart led off in a 25.49. She’s also a member of two FAST long course National Age Group record setting relays. In 2016 the team went a 4:08.39 in the 400 freestyle relay. That mark was the 15-18 and 15-16 national mark.<\/p>\n
