The session begins at 5 p.m. PT.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/santa-clara-friday-finals-heat-sheet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to view the full heat sheet.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 100 fly will lead off the meet&#8217;s first finals session, with\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields\u00a0<\/strong>as the top-seeded swimmers in the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s event, respectively.\u00a0<strong>Emily Escobedo\u00a0<\/strong>led the way in the women&#8217;s 200 breast, and\u00a0<strong>Nic Fink\u00a0<\/strong>holds down lane four for what should be a competitive event on the men&#8217;s side.<\/p>\n<p>Olympic gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>will try to hold off\u00a0<strong>Abbey Weitzeil\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Lia Neal\u00a0<\/strong>in the women&#8217;s 100 free final, while\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Marcelo Cherighini\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Conor Dwyer\u00a0<\/strong>all broke 50 seconds in the men&#8217;s event, but 2012 Olympic gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>lurks from lane two.<\/p>\n<p>There was a three-way tie for eighth in the men&#8217;s 100 free, but only two of those swimmers could swim in the nine-man A-final. But instead of a swim-off, Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ali Khalafalla\u00a0<\/strong>agreed to swim in the B-final, leaving A-final spaces for\u00a0<strong>Maxime Rooney\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the night will be the 400 free, which features\u00a0<strong>Katie Drabot\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Clark Smith\u00a0<\/strong>as the top seeds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Check out the heat sheets for the Friday night finals session at the arena Pro Swim Series meet in Santa Clara.
