In the men&#8217;s 100 fly,\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jack Conger\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Matthew Josa\u00a0<\/strong>all hold down lane five as the top seed in their respective heats.<\/p>\n<p>Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marina Garcia\u00a0<\/strong>is the top-ranked entrant into the women&#8217;s 200 breast, and in the competitive men&#8217;s 200 breast, the circle-seeded heats will include the following matchups:\u00a0<strong>Will Licon\u00a0<\/strong>vs.\u00a0<strong>Chase Kalisz<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kevin Cordes\u00a0<\/strong>vs.\u00a0<strong>Carlos Claverie\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Josh Prenot\u00a0<\/strong>vs.\u00a0<strong>Nic Fink<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Four Olympic Trials finalists &#8212;\u00a0<strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Lia Neal<\/strong> and Worrell &#8212; are in the field in the women&#8217;s 100 free, while the men&#8217;s event features Olympic finalists\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>With\u00a0<strong>Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>absent,\u00a0<strong>Cierra Runge\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Mackenzie Padington<\/strong> are the top two seeds in the women&#8217;s 400 free, and double NCAA champion\u00a0<strong>Clark Smith<\/strong> goes as the top seed in the men&#8217;s race.<\/p>\n<p>Ledecky was originally entered in the 100 free only, but she has scratched that event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Check out the heat sheets for the first full morning of prelims at the arena Pro Swim Series finale meet in Santa Clara.
