AUSTIN, Texas, December 3. THE second evening of short course yard racing at the Texas Invite featured a few more NCAA A cuts.<\/p>\n
UCLA's Lauren Hall topped the women's 400 IM in 4:09.03, while Texas' Laura Sogar touched a distant second in 4:14.65. UCLA's Danielle Milligan snagged third in 4:15.17. Arizona's Austen Thompson claimed the men's 400 IM in 3:45.28. Texas' Bryan Collins (3:48.50) and Austin Surhoff (3:50.09) rounded out the top three.<\/p>\n
Arizona's Alyssa Anderson paced the women's 200 free in 1:44.86. Texas' Karlee Bispo took second in 1:45.48, while Arizona's Margo Geer placed third in 1:45.78. Longhorn's Ricky Berens touched out Arizona's Nimrod Shapira Bar-Or, 1:33.49 to 1:33.50, in the men's 200 free. Texas' Dax Hill garnered third in 1:34.19. <\/p>\n
Sogar earned her second podium with a winning 59.07 in the women's 100 breast. Arizona's Ellyn Baumgardner took second in 59.58, while Wisconsin's Ashley Wanland placed third in 1:00.05. Longhorn's Eric Shanteau clocked a 53.55 in the men's 100 breast for the win. Arizona's Kelley Wyman (53.73) and Texas' Eric Friedland (53.78) completed the top three.<\/p>\n
Wisconsin's Maggie Meyer posted a 52.39 for the women's 100 back win with Kathleen Hersey (52.77) and Arizona's Aubrey Peacock (53.23) picking up second and third. Arizona's Cory Chitwood followed with a 46.56 for the win in the men's 100 back. Teammate Mitch Friedemann (46.82) and Texas' Cole Cragin (47.73) touched second and third.<\/p>\n
Arizona's Sarah Denninghoff, Ellyn Baumgardner, Dana Christ and Margo Geer won the women's 200 medley relay in an NCAA A cut time of 1:36.90. Texas' Cole Cragin, Scott Spann, Neil Caskey and Jimmy Feigen claimed the men's 200 medley relay in 1:26.23. <\/p>\n
Wisconsin's Maggie Meyer, Ruby Martin, Laura Miller and Danielle Beckwith won the women's 800 free relay in 7:20.31. Teammates Daniel Lester, Michael Weiss, Kyle Thompson and Jeff Morris captured the men's 800 free relay in 6:36.07. <\/p>\n
