{"id":258114,"date":"2017-05-30T05:07:17","date_gmt":"2017-05-30T12:07:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=258114"},"modified":"2017-05-30T05:07:17","modified_gmt":"2017-05-30T12:07:17","slug":"alabamas-dakota-toner-selected-for-ncaa-career-in-sports-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/alabamas-dakota-toner-selected-for-ncaa-career-in-sports-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"Alabama&#8217;s Dakota Toner Selected for NCAA Career in Sports Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following right along with an Alabama tradition of excellence highlighted this year by\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/alabamas-bailey-scott-named-a-finalist-for-honda-inspiration-award\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bailey Scott<\/a><\/strong>, diver <strong>Dakota Toner<\/strong> is now doing her part after being selected for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncaa.org\/about\/resources\/leadership-development\/career-sports-forum\" target=\"_blank\">2017 NCAA Career in Sports Forum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A scorer at the Southeastern Conference Championships, Toner is a three-year NCAA Zone B Championship competitor who graduated in May with a degree in consumer sciences with a concentration in consumer affairs while carrying a career grade point average of 3.88. Toner\u00a0also earned CSCAA Scholar All-America honors during her Crimson Tide tenure.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Congrats to Dakota Toner! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/WhereLegendsAreMade?src=hash\">#WhereLegendsAreMade<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/RollTide?src=hash\">#RollTide<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/y3GcGrh95F\">https:\/\/t.co\/y3GcGrh95F<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Alabama Swim &amp; Dive (@AlabamaSwimDive) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AlabamaSwimDive\/status\/869278070011813888\">May 29, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/janelle-nguyen-of-unlv-selected-to-ncaa-career-in-sports-forum\/\" target=\"_blank\">UNLV&#8217;s <strong>Janelle Nguyen<\/strong><\/a> earned the same honors, and participated in the 2016 event.
