On the girls side, the team scored 126 points, just seven more than Green Valley&#8217;s 119. Reno was third with 56 points.<\/p>\n<p>The Palo Verde boys totaled 115 points. Coronado was second with 72 and Douglas High finished third with 57 points.<\/p>\n<h3>Girls<\/h3>\n<p>For Green Valley<strong> Abby Richter<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cassandra McKercher<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Liz Clinch<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Victoria Navarro\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 medley relay by nearly five seconds in 1:45.03. Palo Verde earned a runner up finish in 1:49.89 with the team of\u00a0<strong>Madi Lauger<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Grace Siebmann<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Dockery<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Allison Warnick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Green Valley&#8217;s Navarro dominated the 200 free in 1:50.08. Palo Verde&#8217;s Dockery (1:54.31) was runner up, just ahead of Racho&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Astrid Villeda\u00a0<\/strong>(1:54.39). Green Valley won two events in a row as Richter took the 200 IM in 2:00.73. Richter was also victorious in the 100 backstroke with her 54.48.<\/p>\n<p>Navarro returned to the top of the podium in the 100 freestyle with her 51.32. Palo Verde&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Allie Emery\u00a0<\/strong>(51.73) was runner up.\u00a0In 23.83 Emery<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>won the 50 freestyle.\u00a0<strong>Chloe Freeman\u00a0<\/strong>of Palo Verde swam a 55.95 to top the 100 butterfly. Freeman then topped the 500 freestyle by five seconds with her 5:00.51.<\/p>\n<p>Palo Verde improved on it&#8217;s runner up finish in the first relay to win the 200 freestyle relay.\u00a0<strong>Emelia Piccininni<\/strong>, Siebmann, Freeman, and Emery touched in 1:37.54.<\/p>\n<p>Reno&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Regan Caulfield\u00a0<\/strong>(460.60) won the one meter diving. Bishop Manogue&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Donna Depolo\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.91.<\/p>\n<p>Richter, Clinch,\u00a0<strong>Valerie Kitchens<\/strong>, and Navarro combined to win the 400 freestyle relay for Green Valley with a 3:28.35.<\/p>\n<h3>Boys<\/h3>\n<p>Legacy won the 200 medley relay in 1:38.25 with the team of\u00a0<strong>McKay Mickelson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tama Tuitama<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tristan Arruti<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Julian Rockmaker<\/strong>. Finishing second on their heels was Green Valley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matas Maksimaitis<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Christiaan Chandler<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Terry Wright<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Hunter Mecham<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Foothill&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Denver Renner\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 1:43.18 to win the 200 free. A second back was Bishop Gorman&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Becker\u00a0<\/strong>(1:44.81).<\/p>\n<p>The 200 IM was close with Palo Verde&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mihail Amiorkov\u00a0<\/strong>(1:52.26) edging Legacy&#8217;s\u00a0Tuitama<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(1:52.58). Amiorkov won another one with a 51.68 in the 100 backstroke. Tuitama got his gold with a 58.31 in the 100 breaststroke.<\/p>\n<p>Douglass&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Joe Sullivan\u00a0<\/strong>out touched Valley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexander Johannsen\u00a0<\/strong>21.94 to 21.97. Another .01 back was\u00a0<strong>Hunter Mecham\u00a0<\/strong>of Green Valley. In the 100 free Palo Verde&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dylan Sweikert\u00a0<\/strong>was first to the wall in 47.60.<\/p>\n<p>Coronado&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Timothy Newton\u00a0<\/strong>(482.35) won the one meter diving.\u00a0<strong>Sawyer Grimes\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 4:42.13 to win the 500 free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Miller\u00a0<\/strong>of Palo Verde was just quicker than Foothill&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Denver Renner\u00a0<\/strong>in the 100 fly as the two finished in 51.33 and 51.41.<\/p>\n<p>Douglass&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Joey Smithen<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Justin Hight<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Josh Smithen<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Joe Sullivan\u00a0<\/strong>were 200 freestyle relay champions with a 1:28.43.<\/p>\n<p>The 400 freestyle relay crown went to Palo Verde&#8217;s Amiorkov,\u00a0<strong>Richie Selznick<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ahmed Mohamed<\/strong>, and Sweikert in 3:13.54.<\/p>\n<p>Full results available <a href=\"http:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2107-nevada-high-school-4a-state-championships-high-school-2017-05-20.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agon is the proud sponsor of all high school coverage (recruiting, results, state championships, etc.) on SwimmingWorld.com.
