Dynamo Swim Club has announced the appointment of two interim head coaches following the unexpected passing<\/a> of head coach\u00a0Jason Turcotte<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Coaches\u00a0Rich Murphy<\/strong> and\u00a0Beth W<\/strong>inkowski<\/b> have been named co-interim head coaches, while continuing to be in charge of their other duties.<\/p>\n

Murphy will serve as Associate Head Coach, Director of Competitive Performance, and coach of the Senior 1 Group, while Winkowski will continue to be in charge of team operations and administration, while also serving as the lead coach of the Chamblee Senior 1 Group.<\/p>\n

Rich Murphy<\/strong> \u2013 Interim Co-Head Coach. Rich will lead Dynamo\u2019s competitive performance efforts. Rich has been serving as Associate Head Coach and Director of Competitive Performance and coach of the Senior 1 group in Alpharetta. \u00a0Rich has been a Dynamo coach for\u00a0years and\u00a0has a wealth of college and club swim coaching experience prior to Dynamo. \u00a0Rich\u00a0holds the highest level of certification from the American Swim Coaches as a Level 5 certified coach.\u00a0Rich was the\u00a0Developmental Coach of 2012 and 2016 Olympian Matias Koski<\/strong> and 2016 Olympian Jay Litherland<\/strong>\u00a0and he also currently coaches US\u00a0National Team Member Michael Taylor<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beth Winkowski<\/strong> \u2013 Interim Co-Head Coach.\u00a0Beth will be in charge of swim team operations and\u00a0team administration.\u00a0She will also be the lead coach of the Chamblee Senior 1 group, assisted by Mary Buzeta<\/strong> and Mike Ross<\/strong>. \u00a0Beth is currently\u00a0Associate Head Coach and lead coach for the Chamblee facility. \u00a0Beth has been a Dynamo coach since 2004\u00a0and previously served as Interim Head Coach 2005-2006. \u00a0She won the 2014 ASCA National Age Group Coach of the Year award and\u00a0is a\u00a0two-time\u00a0winner of the Georgia Age Group Coach of the Year award. \u00a0Beth\u00a0also served as the\u00a0womens\u2019s\u00a0head coach of the USA Swimming\u00a0National Select Camp in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with Rich and Beth,\u00a0the Club will continue to be supported by Assistant Head\u00a0Coach Brian\u00a0Wrighton <\/strong>and\u00a0Head Age Group Coach\u00a0Nick\u00a0Graves<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
