Preliminary swimming dove in at 2:30 PM local time today for what turned out to be a five hour session.<\/p>\n<p>Two state meet records fell as teams and individuals raced for spots in tomorrow afternoon&#8217;s finals session.<\/p>\n<h3>Girls 200 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>Monte Vista was just four tenths off their second seeded time to take the top spot in the meet&#8217;s first event. The team of\u00a0<strong>Abriana Howard<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Isabella Barattolo<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Makenna Turner<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Gillian Flath\u00a0<\/strong>combined for a 1:42.95.<\/p>\n<p>A half second back was Palo Alto with\u00a0<strong>Zoe Lusk<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Grace Zhao<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Amy Qu<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Clair Lin\u00a0<\/strong>touching in 1:43.40. Taking the third seed into tomorrow&#8217;s finals is Ventura&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tea Laughlin<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Alicia Harrison<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Lindsay Clark<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Amelia Ayala\u00a0<\/strong>(1:43.60).
