For more information about Agon, visit their website <a href=\"https:\/\/agonswim.com\/\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>Cheyenne Mountain won the Colorado 4A Boys High School swimming and diving state title on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Cheyenne Mountain got out to an early lead, winning the 200 medley relay in 1:35.95 with the team of\u00a0<strong>Jerry Birnbaum<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sheridan Harder<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Westin Stieglitz<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Reece MacRenato<\/strong>. Golden&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/daric-sundeen-signs-with-wayland-baptist-university\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daric Sundeen<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cory Leidich<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Reade Warner<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Tate Warner\u00a0<\/strong>were second (1:36.68), just ahead of Valor Christian&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/backstrokerimer-dylan-nasser-commits-to-ashland-university\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dylan Nasser<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Caleb Kim<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Lenny Dan<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Kyle McCarty\u00a0<\/strong>(1:36.94).<\/p>\n<p>Thompson Valley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Liam Gately\u00a0<\/strong>finished with a fairly solid lead in the 200 freestyle, turning in a 1:36.94.\u00a0<strong>Kyle Leach\u00a0<\/strong>of Cheyenne Mountain was second with a 1:38.34. Also under 1:40 was Evergreen&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Seth Hendrix\u00a0<\/strong>(1:39.84).<\/p>\n<p>Gately also topped the 100 freestyle by over a second in 44.64. Pine Creek&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Sherman\u00a0<\/strong>(45.66) and Air Academy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Griffin Ayotte\u00a0<\/strong>(45.96) were second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Leach later won the 100 butterfly in 49.23. Sundeen touched second (50.85) and\u00a0<strong>Matthew Wyatt\u00a0<\/strong>of Valor Christian\u00a0placed third (52.43).<\/p>\n<p>The top three in the 200 IM were close and well ahead of the rest of the field. Ultimately, Wheat Ridge&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Peterson\u00a0<\/strong>(1:53.01) got to the wall first. Nasser was just a tenth behind in 1:53.13.\u00a0<strong>Blayze Jessen\u00a0<\/strong>of Mullen (1:53.87) earned bronze.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel Carr\u00a0<\/strong>of Cheyenne Mountain won the 50 freestyle by a full second with his 20.45. George Washington&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cole Sibelius\u00a0<\/strong>(21.55) placed second and Wyatt\u00a0(21.84) was third.<\/p>\n<p>Taking the title in the shortest and longest events on the high school schedule, Carr posted a 4:33.99 in the 500 freestyle. Montrose&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan King\u00a0<\/strong>was just behind him in 4:35.69. Thompson Valley senior\u00a0<strong>Christopher Eddy\u00a0<\/strong>(4:41.86) completed the podium.<\/p>\n<p>Estes Park&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jacob Bielamier\u00a0<\/strong>dominated diving with 521.90 points.<\/p>\n<p>Cheyenne Mountain also won the 200 freestyle relay with the quartet of\u00a0<strong>Kyle Leach<\/strong>, MacRenato,\u00a0<strong>Sheridan Harder<\/strong>, and Carr in 1:25.90. Valor Christian&#8217;s Wyatt,\u00a0<strong>Levi Gooden<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Liam Dooley<\/strong>, and Kim were second (1:27.79) and\u00a0<strong>Will Draper<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tristan Camp-Lagveux<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jordan Oss<\/strong>, and Sibelius were third for George Washington in 1:29.43.<\/p>\n<p>Birnbaum topped the 100 backstroke with a 50.92. Just behind him were Sundeen (51.01) and Sherman (51.02).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drake Manuello\u00a0<\/strong>of Greenley Central out touched\u00a0<strong>Jack Moranetz\u00a0<\/strong>of D&#8217;Evelyn 57.80 to 57.89 for the 100 breaststroke title.\u00a0Cheyenne Mountain sophomore Harder (58.61) finished third.<\/p>\n<p>Cheyenne Mountain wrapped up the meet with a dominating performance in the 400 freestyle relay as the team of Leach, Birnbaum, Stieglitz, and Carr touched in 3:02.67, nearly ten seconds ahead of the field.<\/p>\n<p>Cheyenne Mountain won the state title.
