LSU Diver Lizzie Cui<\/strong> of New Zealand has qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Budapest in four events. Her qualification for the meet keeps her on track to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo after competing in Rio in 2016 where she became the first diver from New Zealand<\/a><\/span><\/span> to make the Olympic Games since 1992.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cui also earned Honorable Mention All-America honors her first season at LSU on three-meter and placed fifth in this year’s one-meter competition at the NCAA Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cui Headed to Budapest for 2017 World Championships<\/span><\/h3>\n

BATON ROUGE- All-American diver Lizzie Cui has qualified for the 2017 FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, running from July 14-23.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cui will represent her native country of New Zealand after taking part in a series of qualifiers in April and early May during the offseason. Cui will compete in the individual three-meter, synchronized three-meter, synchronized mixed three-meter (one male and one female), as well as the combined team event.<\/span><\/p>\n
