For more information about Agon, visit their website <a href=\"https:\/\/agonswim.com\/\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>At the 2017 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section championships today in Lodi, California, the women&#8217;s team race was tight while the men&#8217;s was clear cut.\u00a0Meet records fell on both sides.<\/p>\n<h3>Women<\/h3>\n<p>The Davis women (273) edged Granite Bay (268.5) and Rio Americano (261) for the overall team win.<\/p>\n<p>Rio Americano got out to an early lead as the team of \u00a0<strong>Kailee Nabeta<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tina Reuter<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Hallada Kinsey<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Lizzie Menzmer<\/strong>\u00a0clocked a 1:43.06 in the 200 medley relay, just quicker than Davis&#8217; <strong>Zoe Cosgrove,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Kyla Leacox<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mia Motekaitis<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Cody Hargadon<\/strong>\u00a0in 1:43.15.<\/p>\n<p>Motekaitis battled Nevada Union High School&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Lawless\u00a0<\/strong>and Folsom High School&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Katie Yule\u00a0<\/strong>for the 200 freestyle. Motekaitis got to the wall first with a 1:49.06 to Lawless&#8217; 1:49.39 and Yule&#8217;s 1:49.52.<\/p>\n<p>Granite Bay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chloe Clark\u00a0<\/strong>cracked two minutes (1:59.51) to win the 200 IM. That took down\u00a0<strong>Sohpie Weber<\/strong>&#8216;s 2012 meet record of 2:00.50. Clark then dominated the 100 backstroke in 53.47, just off her own meet record time. Lawless earned silver (54.72).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kristina Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>of Christian Brothers High School won the 100 breaststroke with a meet record 1:01.83. Also clearing last year&#8217;s meet record (1:02.25) set by\u00a0<strong>Heaven Quintana\u00a0<\/strong>was <strong>Giannii Pitto\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.14) of Lodi.<\/p>\n<p>Country Day&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Amalie Fackenthal\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 23.04 to earn the 50 free crown. She returned with a 50.22 100 freestyle to be a double winner.<\/p>\n<p>Kinsey (54.40) edged Motekaitis (54.78) and Menzmer<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(54.98) to win the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p>200 medley relay\u00a0results repeated in the 500 freestyle as Kinsey (4:52.13) was a second quicker than Cosgrove (4:53.54).<\/p>\n<p>The 200 freestyle relay went to Davis&#8217; Leacox,\u00a0<strong>Keianna Pineda<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Laurel Krovetz<\/strong>, and Hargadon in 1:37.28. Finishing second was\u00a0<strong>Madeline Woznick<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nicole Coone<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Grim<\/strong>, and\u00a0Pitto<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>of Lodi in 1:37.44.<\/p>\n<p>The meet ended with a dominating relay effort from Rio Americano&#8217;s Nabeta, Menzmer, Kinsey, and Reuter as the quartet registered a 3:25.24 in the 400 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<h3>Men<\/h3>\n<p>Oak Ridge was dominant with 362 points. Granite Bay had 266 and Jesuit Marauders scored 215.5.<\/p>\n<p>The Oak Ridge team of\u00a0<strong>Bryce Mefford<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ben Dillard<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Colby Mefford<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Colin Reeve\u00a0<\/strong>got off to a quick start with a 1:31.05 to win the 200 medley relay by a significant margin. That also dipped under\u00a0the 1:31.21 meet record Davis Senior\u00a0set in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>That was just the beginning for Bryce Mefford. The senior turned in a 1:34.93 to win the 200 freestyle. That destroyed his own meet record of 1:37.19. He followed that up with a 47.19 in the 100 butterfly, under his old meet record mark of 48.08.\u00a0<strong>Timothy Lee\u00a0<\/strong>of Vanden was runner up in the 200 free. He later won the 100 in a 45.38.<\/p>\n<p>Mefford also won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:24.13 along with\u00a0<strong>Leon Kassianenko<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cole Tilley<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Sean Ranaweera<\/strong>. Dillard topped the 200 IM (1:50.94).<\/p>\n<p>C. K. McClatchy\u00a0freshman\u00a0<strong>Gianluca Urlando\u00a0<\/strong>took down the 100 backstroke section record in prelims with a 47.53. That slashed a half second off the 48.07 Bryce Mefford\u00a0set in 2015. In today&#8217;s finals Urlando was not as quick, but still dominated with a 48.41.<\/p>\n<p>In 21.13\u00a0<strong>Finn O&#8217;Haimhirgin\u00a0<\/strong>of BEVI won the 50 freestyle.\u00a0Antelope Titans&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Ilin\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock in 4:27.38 to claim the 500 free. Urlando was runner up in 4:29.60, taking down the 4:35.46 Frosh\/Soph record set in 1993.<\/p>\n<p>Joseph A Gregori&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrew Britton\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 54.91 for 100 breaststroke gold.
