The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) have announces their Academic All-District honors for the 2016-17 season. The list includes athletes from all sports, but 148 swimmers and divers (78 female, 71 male) were honored from eight districts across Division I, Division II, Division III and other colleges.<\/p>\n

Women’s Academic All-District<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Men’s Academic All-District<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

To be nominated, student-athletes must have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average, and be considered a starter or a significant reserve. The Academic All America Teams will be chosen from these lists, and released later this month.<\/p>\n

The 2016-17 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District\u00ae Men’s and Women\u2019s At-Large Team has been released to recognize the nation\u2019s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.<\/p>\n

The Academic All-District\u00ae teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. This is the sixth year of the expanded Academic All-America\u00ae program as CoSIDA moved from recognizing a University Division (Division I) and a College Division (all non-Division I) and has doubled the number of scholar-athletes honored. The expanded teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants, while the College Division Academic All-America\u00ae Team combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.<\/p>\n

The Division II and III Academic All-America\u00ae program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2016-17 DII and DIII Academic All-America\u00ae teams program.<\/p>\n

First-team Academic All-District\u00ae honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America\u00ae Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America\u00ae honorees will be selected later this month.<\/p>\n
