DELIA Covo set a new North Texas school record with a 269.85 in the three-meter dive as North Texas fell 201-97 to SMU on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Covo broke her own school record of 262.13 that she set last season.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Today was a mixed bag,&quot; said North Texas Head Coach Joe Dykstra. &quot;We had some outstanding performances today and a lot of things that were frustrating. We had some good stuff, but we were too inconsistent from event to event.&quot; <\/p>\n<p>Seabre Pope won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.52, beating Emily Vavourakis of SMU by .06 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>In the 1650-yard freestyle, Dawn Richerson (17:20.73), Angie Dworschack (17:21.88) and Hilary Riedmann (17:36.91) finished 2nd through 4th.<\/p>\n<p>North Texas returns to the pool on December 2nd at the Texas Relays in Austin.<\/p>\n<p><b>The above article is a press release submitted to Swimming World Magazine.
