{"id":254491,"date":"2017-05-05T16:44:35","date_gmt":"2017-05-05T23:44:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=254491"},"modified":"2017-05-05T16:44:35","modified_gmt":"2017-05-05T23:44:35","slug":"blake-pieroni-touches-out-joao-de-lucca-for-100-free-win-in-atlanta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/blake-pieroni-touches-out-joao-de-lucca-for-100-free-win-in-atlanta\/","title":{"rendered":"Blake Pieroni Touches Out Joao De Lucca for 100 Free Win in Atlanta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Blake Pieroni\u00a0<\/strong>pulled ahead of a tight pack in the closing strokes, and he got to the wall first in 49.18, winning the men&#8217;s blue-ribband event at the arena Pro Swim Series meet in Atlanta.<\/p>\n<p>Pieroni got to the wall in 49.18, seven hundredths ahead of Louisville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joao De Lucca<\/strong> (49.25).\u00a0Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michadl Chadwick<\/strong>, who had the lead at the halfway point, came in third at 49.54.<\/p>\n<p>Dynamo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matias Koski<\/strong> (49.71) and Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jacob Pebley\u00a0<\/strong>(49.80) also got under 50 seconds, and rounding out the field were\u00a0<strong>Mohamed Sany\u00a0<\/strong>(50.01),\u00a0<strong>David Ramirez<\/strong> (50.15) and\u00a0<strong>David Gamsburg\u00a0<\/strong>(50.39).<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>won the B-final in 49.60, the fourth-fastest time overall.
