In addition to leading the women&#8217;s swimming program, Skinner will be tasked with recruiting the College&#8217;s first-ever intercollegiate men&#8217;s swimming team to begin competition in the fall of 2017. Skinner comes to Emory &amp; Henry after spending two years as the Assistant Men&#8217;s &amp; Women&#8217;s Swimming Coach at Union College in Schenectady, New York. \u00a0He helped coach four NCAA qualifiers, six All-Americans, and 12 new school records. Bottom is entering his ninth year at the University of Michigan, and his fourth year as the head coach of both the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s programs.\u00a0 Bottom is universally recognized as one of the best sprint coaches in the world. In 2016, his swimmer Paul Powers set a Big Ten record in the 50-yard freestyle at the Big Ten Championships (18.85), becoming only the second swimmer in conference history to break the 19-second barrier. He was also an NCAA All-American in that event for the second consecutive year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_on_left alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tpscamps.com\/upload\/images\/photo_album\/Coaches\/jungbluthsteve_1_1.jpg\" width=\"128\" height=\"147\" \/><span class=\"header3\"><strong>Steve Jungbluth<\/strong> &#8211;<\/span><span class=\"alttext1\"> University of Florida &#8211; Assistant Coach<br \/>\nHeadliner &#8211; Elite Sprint Camp<\/span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Steve Jungbluth enters his seventh season as an assistant coach for the Gators in 2016-17. Jungbluth works with the sprinters. Most recently in 2015-16, Jungbluth helped the Gators take another step forward as the Florida men matched their highest finish ever at the NCAA Championships claiming third-place. Jungbluth&#8217;s sprinting squad took charge with his leading male sprinter becoming the 2016 NCAA Co-Swimmer of the Year. In SEC competition, the Orange and Blue brought home their fourth straight Southeastern Conference Championship on the men&#8217;s side while 11 Gators were crowned individual champions.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"header3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_on_left alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tpscamps.com\/upload\/kristy_kowal_pic.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"129\" height=\"210\" \/><strong>Kristy Kowal<\/strong><\/span><strong><span class=\"header3\"> \u2013 <\/span><\/strong><span class=\"header3\"><span class=\"alttext1\">Olympic Silver Medalist &amp; Former World Record Holder<br \/>\nHeadliner for Elite Breaststroke Camp<\/span><\/span><br \/>\nKristy Kowal won the silver medal in the 200 meter breaststroke at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. She is also a 2 time World Champion (1998) in the 100 Meter breaststroke and on the 400 medley relay, where she also won the silver in the 200 meter breaststroke. She has won multiple international swimming medals in addition to breaking 8 American Records and 1 World record during her career.\u00a0 Kristy was the first American woman to win the World Championship title in the 100 meter breaststroke and also the first American woman to break the one minute barrier in the 100 yard breaststroke.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_on_left alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tpscamps.com\/upload\/headshot_1_lennox_doug.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"124\" height=\"151\" \/><strong><span class=\"header3\">Doug Lennox &#8211;<\/span> <\/strong><span class=\"alttext1\">Kenyon College &#8211; Assistant Coach<br \/>\nHeadliner for E<\/span><span class=\"alttext1\">lite Fly\/Back Underwater Camp &amp; Elite Camp Director<\/span><br \/>\nCoach Lennox joined the Kenyon staff as an assistant coach for both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s swimming teams in the summer of 2014 after spending the 2013-14 season as an assistant coach at New York University.\u00a0Lennox, a 2009 graduate of Princeton University, possesses extensive experience in the pool. A four-year member of the Tigers program, he collected five All-America certificates, was a seven-time Ivy League award-winner, and set ten Princeton records. He helped lead the Tigers to three team conference championships and was named a team captain his senior season.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_on_left alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tpscamps.com\/upload\/images\/photo_album\/Coaches\/steen3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"153\" \/><span class=\"header3\">Jim Steen \u2013<\/span> <\/strong><span class=\"alttext1\">Founder of Total Performance &#8211; Elite Camp Special Guest<br \/>\nCoach Steen is the founder of Total Performance Swim Camps and the legendary head swimming coach emeritus at Kenyon College. During his 37-year career, Kenyon Swimming became the most successful collegiate sports program in the country in any division. The Lord&#8217;s won 31 consecutive NCAA Division III Championships while the Ladies won 23 titles under his tutelage. Over his career, Coach Steen developed over 150 NCAA Champions and over 330 All-Americans. He also coached several Olympians, numerous Olympic Trial qualifiers, Division I All-Americans, and was voted NCAA Division III Coach-of-the-year thirteen times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Coach Steen is considered one of the most innovative and imaginative coaches in the country. In 1980, he applied his innovative ideas and formula for success into a competitive swim camp program that has seen over 10,000 participants from over 40 states and even 5 countries! Coach Steen will bring his expertise to coach alongside Coach and Camp Director, Dan Gelderloos, for the 2015 Competitive Stroke Camp at Calvin College.<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #993366;\"><span class=\"header2\">Administrative Staff<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span class=\"header4\"><strong>Sarah Steen Holcomb<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>CEO<br \/>\n<\/strong>Holcomb <\/span>grew up attending Total Performance Swim Camps as a young competitive swimmer, and worked for Total Performance in various capacities her whole life.\u00a0 Most recently, she was the Director of Marketing, from 2007-2009, Camp Administrator from 2010-2011 and Director of Operations from 2010 to 2014 before taking over the CEO role from TPSC founder Jim Steen.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"header4\">As an All-American collegiate swimmer from Kenyon College, Holcomb graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Economics in 2001.\u00a0 Growing up in a family of educators (teacher and swim coach), Holcomb was inspired to pursue careers in education, working in College Admissions and then earning her masters in Education from DePaul University and becoming a high school Spanish teacher.\u00a0 She returned to Total Performance in 2010 after her first son was born.\u00a0 Holcomb lives with her husband and two children in Wilmette, IL and returns to Gambier every summer for camp.<\/span><\/p>\n<div><strong>Anne Rueppel &#8211; Total Performance Administrator<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Anne joined Total Performance in 2016.
