Kendall jumped to an early lead and never looked back, out-swimming the competition the entire race. She claimed first with a 55.34, followed closely by Weitzeil&#8217;s 55.88. Mission Viejo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ella Ristic<\/strong> grabbed third with a 56.54.<\/p>\n<p>Olympian\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian<\/strong> powered ahead of the competition in the men&#8217;s 100 free, delivering a 48.74 for first. New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Hunter<\/strong> picked up second with a time of 50.78, while teammate\u00a0<strong>Matt Stanley<\/strong> was third with a 50.89.<\/p>\n<p>New Zealand continued to throw down fast times with a top showing in the women&#8217;s 200 fly.\u00a0<strong>Helena Gasson<\/strong> turned in a 2:12.64 to finish more than two seconds ahead of the competition. CITI&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jasmine\u00a0<\/strong><b>Margetts<\/b> grabbed second overall with a 2:15.10, just ahead of ITESM&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Laura Sofia Arroyo Cuara<\/strong> and her time of 2:16.08.<\/p>\n<p>2016 Olympian\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields<\/strong> posted the only sub-two minute swim in the men&#8217;s 200 fly at a 1:58.05, claiming victory by over two seconds, while\u00a0<strong>Ramiro Ramirez Juarez<\/strong> of ITESM took second overall with a 2:00.41.\u00a0<strong>Grant Shoults<\/strong>, swimming unattached, touched third with a 2:01.86.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor McCoy<\/strong> of GMSC led a trio of 2:16 swims to the podium in the women&#8217;s 200 back. McCoy was first overall with a 2:16.07, while\u00a0<strong>Samantha Pearson,\u00a0<\/strong>swimming unattached, finished second with a 2:16.35. New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Boocock<\/strong> took third with a 2:16.73.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patrick Conaton<\/strong>, swimming unattached, delivered a top showing of 2:01.17, followed by\u00a0<strong>Abrahm DeVine&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2:02.23.\u00a0<strong>Curtis Ogren<\/strong> rounded out the podium with a 2:04.76.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hayley McIntosh<\/strong> grabbed another win for New Zealand with a top time\u00a0in the women&#8217;s 400 free. McIntosh held off the competition with a time of 4:15.43, while Mission Viejo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ella Ristic<\/strong> took second wit ha 4:19.71.\u00a0<strong>Liberty Williams<\/strong>, the 800 free winner, turned in a third place finish of 4:20.18.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liam Egan<\/strong> blasted ahead of the competition in the men&#8217;s 400 free, ending the night with a strong 3:53.25 for first.\u00a0<strong>Grant Shoults<\/strong> added another medal to his name with a silver medal finish of 3:57.04, while New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bradlee Ashby<\/strong> was third with a 3:58.51.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Day two of the 2017 TYR Fran Crippen Memorial Swim Meet of Champions was highlighted by wins from Olympians\u00a0Nathan Adrian\u00a0and\u00a0Tom Shields.
