{"id":253034,"date":"2017-04-26T08:27:46","date_gmt":"2017-04-26T15:27:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=253034"},"modified":"2017-04-26T08:27:46","modified_gmt":"2017-04-26T15:27:46","slug":"china-tops-overall-rankings-at-2017-diving-world-series-finale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/china-tops-overall-rankings-at-2017-diving-world-series-finale\/","title":{"rendered":"China Tops Overall Rankings at 2017 Diving World Series Finale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the fourth and final leg of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fina.org\/event\/fina-nvc-diving-world-series-2017\/home\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.fina.org\/event\/fina-nvc-diving-world-series-2017\/home&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1493305870798000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFOKBJh-gYscHnDKLKySIjzBcFfDw\">Diving World Series 2017 <\/a>circuit completed in Windsor, Canada, last weekend (April 21-23), China climbes atop all individual and synchronised events in the overall <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fina.org\/content\/finanvc-diving-world-series-2017-ranking\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.fina.org\/content\/finanvc-diving-world-series-2017-ranking&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1493305870798000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHw2eZ1_E8h-BB8lPJI8jGR1-3cjA\">rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chinese divers maintained an impressive and consistent form throughout the Series season, and swept 37 of 40 gold medals up for grab.<\/p>\n<p>In Windsor\u2019s leg only, every Chinese athlete who competed claimed at least a medal except the pair competing in the men&#8217;s 3m synchronised event.<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s <strong>Xie Siyi<\/strong> leads the men\u2019s 3m (66 points), while teammate <strong>Chen Aisen<\/strong> is the best in the 10m (72). The latter is followed by <strong>Yang Hao<\/strong> with 10 points less, 62, and Great Britain\u2019s <strong>Tom Daley <\/strong>ranks third with 58 points.<\/p>\n<p>Compatriot and Olympic champion<strong> Jack Laugher<\/strong> comes second in the 3m with 64 and <strong>Cao Yuan<\/strong> (CHN) third with 60.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran <strong>Shi Tingmao<\/strong> leads the women\u2019s 3m board with 72, in front of Australia\u2019s <strong>Maddison Keeney<\/strong> (54) and Canada\u2019s <strong>Jennifer Abel<\/strong> (50).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Si Yajie <\/strong>closes the almost perfect Chinese supremacy with the best position in the women\u2019s 10m ranking (70).
