{"id":252932,"date":"2017-04-25T07:09:44","date_gmt":"2017-04-25T14:09:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=252932"},"modified":"2017-04-25T07:09:44","modified_gmt":"2017-04-25T14:09:44","slug":"u-s-and-china-collect-gold-at-taiyuan-stop-of-synchro-world-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/u-s-and-china-collect-gold-at-taiyuan-stop-of-synchro-world-series\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. and China Collect Gold at Taiyuan Stop of Synchro World Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S and China shared the gold medals at stake in the second leg of the FINA Synchronised Swimming World Series, held in Taiyuan (CHN), from April 22-24, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>In the team events, China grabbed the gold medals with 91.6333 points in the free, and 89.4537 in the technical respectively.<\/p>\n<p>USA\u2019s <strong>Anita Alvarez<\/strong> earned victory in the solo technical routine on Day 2 with 76.9270, while Malaysia&#8217;s <strong>Gan Hua Wei<\/strong> took silver in 72.4391.<\/p>\n<p>Alvarez together with teammate <strong>Victoria Woroniecki<\/strong> ranked second in the Duet Free &amp; Technical routines behind the Chinese aces\u00a0<strong>Li Xiaolu<\/strong> \/ <strong>Sun Wenyan<\/strong> who topped both events.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s mixed duet\u00a0<strong>Sheng Shuwen<\/strong> \/ <strong>Shi Haoyu<\/strong> was the strongest in the free routine with 73.3667.<\/p>\n<p>The third leg of the 2017 FINA Synchronised Swimming World Series will take place in Tokyo, Japan, on April 28-30.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Medallists in Taiyuan*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Solo Technical<\/em>: 1.
