Acosta, an El Salvador native won the race in 3:53.38 to hold off a late charge from Cal incoming freshman <strong>Sean Grieshop<\/strong>. Grieshop was second at 3:54.29 and <strong>Taylor Abbott<\/strong> was third at 3:55.11. Grieshop looks to be one of the stars of the future after the retirement of Connor Jaeger.
