Both Olympians swam beneath the FINA &#8216;A&#8217; cut of 2:11.53, putting them in solid positions to qualify for Budapest later this summer. Caldwell posted a 2:08.48, followed by Bouchard&#8217;s 2:11.23, to return as the top seeds.
