Ithaca Speedo Sectionals wrapped up tonight with a few swimmers grabbing one more event win.<\/p>\n
The Asphalt Green team of\u00a0Charlotte Krevitt<\/strong>,\u00a0Ana Olszewski<\/strong>,\u00a0Sophia Zhang<\/strong>, and\u00a0Isabel Gormley\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle relay by over a second in 1:34.61. Chelsea Piers’\u00a0Sophia Moore<\/strong>,\u00a0Amelia Sicignano<\/strong>,\u00a0Mary Christensen<\/strong>, and\u00a0Bridget Semenuk\u00a0<\/strong>were second in 1:35.67 and Victor Swim Club’s\u00a0Megan Deuel<\/strong>,\u00a0Bailey Klafehn<\/strong>,\u00a0Kathleen Pollock<\/strong>, and\u00a0Alyssa Helak\u00a0<\/strong>(1:35.84) secured third.<\/p>\n Portland’s\u00a0Emily Ecker\u00a0<\/strong>took her second gold of the weekend with a 9:57.41 in the 1000. Chelsea Piers teammates Elizabeth Boeckman\u00a0<\/strong>(10:00.17) and\u00a0Alexandra Truwit\u00a0<\/strong>(10:05.03) touched second and third.<\/p>\n Three women cleared two minutes in the 200 backstroke, led by Badger’s\u00a0Quinn Scannell\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.00). A pair of 15 year olds: Asphalt Green’s\u00a0Isabel Gormley\u00a0<\/strong>(1:58.53) and The Atlantic’s\u00a0Grace Kayal\u00a0<\/strong>(1:58.61) completed the podium.<\/p>\n Kate Douglass\u00a0<\/strong>impressed once again, this time with a 49.02 in the 100 freestyle. Coastal Maine’s\u00a0Olivia Tighe\u00a0<\/strong>was second with a 50.56. Scannell touched third (51.40).<\/p>\n Badger’s\u00a0Carly Cummings\u00a0<\/strong>demolished two minutes with a 1:58.77 to take the 200 IM. Gormely touched second (2:01.29) and\u00a0Miku Takabayashi\u00a0<\/strong>of Blue Devil finished third (2:02.43).<\/p>\n Moore teamed up with Christensen,\u00a0Kelly Montesi\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Alexandra Truwit\u00a0<\/strong>to win the 400 medley relay for Chelsea Piers in 3:56.18. Asphalt Green touched just under a second behind (3:46.96) with the team of\u00a0Gormley,\u00a0Diana Bates<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>Zhang, and\u00a0Krevitt. Nys Aquatics’\u00a0Lauren Aylmer<\/strong>,\u00a0Theresa Milio<\/strong>,\u00a0Jessice Pryne<\/strong>, and\u00a0Isabelle Arevalo\u00a0<\/strong>(3:47.04) were third.<\/p>\n Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics won the women’s meet with 483 points. Chelsea Piers Aquatic Club finished second with a 471 point total. In third was Victor Swim Club with a 344 point total.<\/p>\n Chelsea Piers snatched gold in the men’s 200 freestyle relay as the team of\u00a0Marcus Hodgson<\/strong>,\u00a0Cole Pierce<\/strong>,\u00a0Aedan Lewis<\/strong>, and\u00a0Patrick Clisham\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:24.16. In 1:24.64\u00a0Connor Miller<\/strong>,\u00a0Auston Ramsay<\/strong>,\u00a0Keda Song<\/strong>, and\u00a0Nathaniel Davenport\u00a0<\/strong>secured second for Kingfish.\u00a0Rett McNair,\u00a0<\/strong>Ryan Board<\/strong>,\u00a0Tim Maggs<\/strong>, and\u00a0Liam Picozzi\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 1:24.88 for third for Adirondack Blue Fins.<\/p>\n Andrew Babyak\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed another gold, this time in the 1650. The Badger swimmer touched in 15:26.79. Victor Swim Club’s\u00a0Kai Wisner\u00a0<\/strong>out touched Upper Valley’s\u00a0Kristian Hansen\u00a0<\/strong>15:32.74 to 15:32.85 for second.<\/p>\n Patriot Swim Club’s\u00a0Andrew Carbone\u00a0<\/strong>was one of three men under 1:50 in the 200 backstroke with his 1:47.16. Meriden’s\u00a0Tyler Prescott\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.25) took silver and\u00a0Jared Daigle\u00a0<\/strong>of North Shore won bronze (1:49.78).<\/p>\n After two wins last night, Hauppague’s\u00a0Drew Modrov\u00a0<\/strong>was back to take the 100 freestyle crown in 44.42.\u00a0Matthew Yish\u00a0<\/strong>of Solo Aquatics was second (44.89) and\u00a0Oliver Rus\u00a0<\/strong>of Piranha Swimming (45.65) took third.<\/p>\n Calvin Yang\u00a0<\/strong>of Crimson Aquatics got his hand to the wall in a tight 200 IM. The 17 year old posted a 1:51.15, just faster than Matchpoint’s\u00a0Oleksandr Bezuglyy\u00a0<\/strong>(1:51.36) and Carbone (1:51.91).<\/p>\n The final relay of the night went to Hauppauge’s\u00a0Dylan Chan<\/strong>,\u00a0Jack Casey<\/strong>,\u00a0Zachary Papsco\u00a0<\/strong>and Modrov in 3:23.73. In 3:24.99 Eastern Express’\u00a0Vincent Marciano<\/strong>, Doyle,\u00a0Jacob Lubinski<\/strong>, and\u00a0Collin Hanlon\u00a0<\/strong>earned second. Third went to Matchpoin’s\u00a0Bezuglly,\u00a0Connor Morikawa<\/strong>,\u00a0Patrick Clisham<\/strong>, and\u00a0Marcus Hodgson\u00a0<\/strong>with a 3:25.60.<\/p>\n Eastern Express totaled 421 points to win the men’s meet ahead of Kingfish Swimming (374.5) and Hauppauge Athletic Association (319).<\/p>\n Chelsea Piers took the combined team title with 734.5 points.
