After conclusion of the session, Cape Cod Swim Club had overtaken The FISH for the lead, with an overall team point total of 353 to The FISH&#8217;s 312. Cougar Aquatic Team sits in third with 294 points.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 200 meter freestyle, 15-year-old The FISH standout <strong>Madelyn Donohoe\u00a0<\/strong>took first place with a time of\u00a02:04.64. Her 18-year-old teammate <strong>Nicole Fye<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/va-state-record-holder-nicole-fye-gives-verbal-to-ohio-state\/\" target=\"_blank\">a Virginia state record holder and Ohio State commit<\/a>, placed second in 2:05.04. <strong>Olivia Sapio<\/strong> of Town Wreckers Swim Team touched in 2:06.87 for third place.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez swimmer <strong>Andres Solivan Rivera<\/strong>\u00a0threw down a 1:56.91\u00a0to take first place over <strong>Brandon Amthor<\/strong> of Sharks and Eagles Swim Team, who swam a time of 1:57.11. <strong>Nathan Stern<\/strong> of Peddie Aquatic Association took third with a 1:59.50.<\/p>\n<p>University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez, a popular training trip destination for U.S. colleges, notched another first-place finish in the men&#8217;s 100 meter butterfly, with <strong>Alex Hernandez Medina<\/strong>&#8216;s time of 55.21. He was over two seconds ahead of second-place <strong>Nathan Stern<\/strong> out of Peddie Aquatics, who swam a 57.51. Third place went to <strong>Neil Horne<\/strong> of Clifton Park Halfmoon Piranhas with his time of 58.19.<\/p>\n<p>There was an extremely close race in the women&#8217;s 100 breaststroke, as <strong>Alexandra McDaid<\/strong> of Peddie and <strong>Olivia Jack<\/strong> of Clifton Park battled over the finish. McDaid touched 0.01 ahead of Jack, swimming 1:13.38 to Jack&#8217;s 1:13.39. The two frontrunners were ahead of the field by almost four seconds, as\u00a0<strong>Carlee Sanchez-Hegarty<\/strong> of Cougar Aquatic Team touched\u00a0in 1:17.02 for third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joseph Scerbo<\/strong> of Cougar Aquatic Team won the men&#8217;s 100 meter breaststroke by a small margin as well, putting up a 1:06.64 to teammate <strong>Zachary Valezuela<\/strong>&#8216;s time of 1:06.82. UPRM&#8217;s Juan Arellano Uribe, the first seed coming into the meet, swam a 1:07.38 for third place.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 100 butterfly, Sapio took first in an impressive 1:02.68. Liverpool Jets Swim Club&#8217;s <strong>Sydnie Sovinsky\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 1:03.33 for second place, and Fye rounded out the top three with a time of 1:04.13.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cape Cod Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Palma Foschi Walko\u00a0<\/strong>topped the distance event of the evening with her time of 5:02.31 in the women&#8217;s 400 meter IM. Donohoe put up a strong showing for second place, swimming a 5:04.62. Walko and Donohoe separated themselves from the field by a large margin, third place going\u00a0to Cougar Aquatic Team&#8217;s <strong>Natalie Dalla Riva<\/strong> with a 5:10.21.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, Scerbo won decisively with a 4:38.99. <strong>Joseph Perry<\/strong> of Cape Cod Swim Club was second in 4:42.85, just ahead of The FISH&#8217;s Mason Greenblatt, who touched 0.02 later in 4:42.87.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Claire Wolff<\/strong>, <strong>Keely Hemminger<\/strong>, Donohoe, and Fye combined to grab FISH the win in the women&#8217;s 800 meter freestyle relay, with splits of 2:13.50, 2:10.45, 2:04.41, and 2:06.96, respectively. Second place went to Cape Cod Swim Club&#8217;s team of <strong>Madeline King<\/strong>, Walko, <strong>Bridget Birmingham<\/strong>, and <strong>Michelle Guo<\/strong>. Due to a touch pad malfunction, splits were not available for their second-place swim. Weymouth Club Waves put together a team of <strong>Sarah Rice<\/strong>, <strong>Leigh Spicer<\/strong>, <strong>Emily Appleton<\/strong>, and <strong>Samantha Hughes<\/strong> for third place in 8:57.42.<\/p>\n<p>To finish off the meet, Cougar Aquatic Team&#8217;s A-squad consisting of Valenzeula, <strong>Benjamin Amoreno<\/strong>, Scerbo, and <strong>Evan Custance\u00a0<\/strong>combined for the win on the men&#8217;s side with a time of 8:04.31. Star Swimming&#8217;s time of 8:11.75, swum by <strong>Michael Clough<\/strong>, <strong>Andrew Duszynski<\/strong>, <strong>Maximillian Strittmatter<\/strong>, and <strong>Riley McLaughlin<\/strong>, was good for second place.
