For more information about Agon, visit their website <a href=\"http:\/\/agonswim.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Pennsylvania high school swimming state championships wrapped up with the AAA meet on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n<h3>Girls<\/h3>\n<p>Avon Grove totaled 228.5 points for a solid lead over the competition. With 176.5 points Upper Dublin finished second.<\/p>\n<p>Gateway freshman\u00a0<strong>Olivia Livingston\u00a0<\/strong>posted a state record 22.73 in the 50 freestyle, .02 faster than the mark set by\u00a0<strong>Emily Cameron\u00a0<\/strong>in 2012. Fellow freshman\u00a0<strong>Caroline Famous\u00a0<\/strong>of Conestoga was second (22.98).<\/p>\n<p>The Avon Grove team of\u00a0<strong>Emma Brinton<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Paoletti<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sydney Paglia<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Sophie May\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 medley relay in 1:43.61. Two tenths back in 1:43.86 was Downingtown East&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Taylor Ament<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Heather Maccausland<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tara Collier<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Caroline Maki.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Junior\u00a0<strong>Morgan Scott\u00a0<\/strong>of Pennridge dominated the 200 freestyle relay with a 1:46.77.\u00a0<strong>Madison Kolessar\u00a0<\/strong>of Garney Valley out touched\u00a0<strong>Abbie Amdor\u00a0<\/strong>of Upper Dublin 1:49.62 to 1:49.64 for second.<\/p>\n<p>Scott then won the 100 freestyle in 49.43, just a tenth ahead of Livingston (49.53). Also cracking 50 was\u00a0<strong>Trinity Ward\u00a0<\/strong>(49.98) of Mt. Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p>Paoletti cracked two minutes in the 200 IM with a 1:59.20. In 2:00.73 Maccausland secured runner up honors.<\/p>\n<p>The 100 butterfly gold went to\u00a0Ward\u00a0in 54.14. West Chester East&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna Carozza\u00a0<\/strong>(54.46) and Hershey&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carlene Rippon\u00a0<\/strong>(54.54) were also on the podium.<\/p>\n<p>Famous,\u00a0<strong>Sophia Poeta<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Caroline Apathy<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Madison Ledwith\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle relay for Conestoga in 1:34.38.<\/p>\n<p>Famous then won the 100 backstroke in 53.63. Another freshman,\u00a0<strong>Cameron Gring\u00a0<\/strong>of Muhlenberg, finished second (54.66).<\/p>\n<p>Lower Merion&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna Kalandadze\u00a0<\/strong>swam well ahead of the field in the 500 freestyle with a 4:48.29. Peters Township&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Abby Hay<\/strong>\u00a0got her hand to the wall first in a tight race for second. Hay touched in 4:55.27. On her heels was Twin Valley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hannah Schlegel\u00a0<\/strong>(4:55.55), just .01 ahead of\u00a0Kolessar\u00a0(4:55.56) of Garnet Valley.<\/p>\n<p>In an\u00a0impressive\u00a0race,\u00a0Maccausland and Paoletti both got to the wall in 1:01.49 in the 100 breaststroke.\u00a0Upper Dublin&#8217;s Amdor,\u00a0<strong>Elle Braun<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Aly Breslin<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Jenna Johns\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 3:24.41 for 400 freestyle relay gold.<\/p>\n<p>Full results <a href=\"http:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2017-pennsylvania-high-school-aaa-girls-results-high-school-2017-03-17.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Boys<\/h3>\n<p>North Allegheny dominated the boys meet with 271 points. Lasalle College finished runner up with 183 points.<\/p>\n<p>The eventual team champions started the meet with a dominant win.\u00a0<strong>Andrew Zhang<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rick Mihm<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Maxwell Gonzalez<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Mason Gonzalez\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock in 1:30.79 in the 200 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jack Wright<\/strong>, Mihm, Maxwell Gonzalez, and\u00a0<strong>Eben Krigger\u00a0<\/strong>picked up a second relay win in state record fashion with a 1:20.95 in the 200 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>Mason Gonzalez was later impressive with a 19.99 50 freestyle. Souderton&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cristian Musterait\u00a0<\/strong>was runner up (20.44) and State College&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matt Brownstead\u00a0<\/strong>(20.59) finished third. Gonzalez followed that swim up with a 43.62 in the 100 freestyle. Penn Hills&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kimani Gregory\u00a0<\/strong>(44.57) and Wright (44.67) earned silver and bronze.<\/p>\n<p>Lasalle College&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jake Sannem\u00a0<\/strong>put together a 1:34.76 to win the 200 freestyle. Behind the senior were\u00a0<strong>Andy Thomas\u00a0<\/strong>(1:36.47) of Hatboro Horsham and\u00a0<strong>Eben Krigger\u00a0<\/strong>(1:36.85) of North Allegheny.<\/p>\n<p>Sannem picked up a second gold with a 4:21.63 in the 500 freestyle. Two other seniors- State College&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tobias Van Dyke\u00a0<\/strong>(4:26.32) and Krigger (4:28.19)- were also atop the podium.<\/p>\n<p>Pennsbury&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Connor Doyle\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.77) and North Penn&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sean Faikish\u00a0<\/strong>(1:49.84) cracked 1:50 in the 200 IM.<\/p>\n<p>Conestoga&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brendan Burns\u00a0<\/strong>led three swimmers under 50 in the 100 fly with his 48.06. North Allegheny&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrew Zhang\u00a0<\/strong>(49.84) and North Penn&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Noah Jamieson\u00a0<\/strong>(49.85) followed. Burns added a 100 backstroke victory in 48.51.
