Competition continued this evening in Lewisville for Western Zone Speedo Sectionals: Four Corners. Highland Ranch sits in first place for\u00a0overall\u00a0team scores with 512 points. Jeffco Hurricanes follows\u00a0with a total of 496 points, and University of Denver Hilltoppe rounds out third place overall with 416.5 points after this evening.<\/p>\n

The session\u00a0kicked off with finals of the women’s 100 backstroke.\u00a0Rhyan White<\/strong> of Wasatch Front Fish Market topped the event in 53.36, while Elliyanna Ferrin<\/strong>\u00a0of Bend Swim Club was not far behind in 53.65 for second place. Natalie Arky<\/strong> of Highland Ranch finished third in the event with her time of 54.46.<\/p>\n

Highland Ranch Aquatics won for the women, putting together a team of Delaney Smith<\/strong>, Reddington, Elsa Litteken<\/strong>, and Madison Hoehn<\/strong> to finish in 3:25.71. Foothills Swim Team squad of Andrews, Avery Turney<\/strong>, Aly Gallagher<\/strong>, and Abbey Selin<\/strong> placed second with a time of 3:26.89. Third place went to Cailen Chinn<\/strong>, Katherine<\/strong> McDonald<\/strong>, Christina<\/strong> Crane<\/strong>, and Katelyn<\/strong> Kenchel<\/strong> of Jeffco Hurricanes in 3:28.88.<\/p>\n
University of Denver Hilltoppe’s team of Hendrix, Ryan Peterson<\/strong>, Blayze Jessen<\/strong>, and Keegan Bundy\u00a0<\/strong>finished in first place for the men with a time of 3:03.95, shaving three seconds off of their seed time. Jeffco Hurricanes put together a squad of Justin Li<\/strong>, Zarian, Tyler Cohan<\/strong>, and Jonah Staton<\/strong> to finish second in 3:06.22. Close behind was Wasatch Front Fish Market in 3:06.64 (Lucas Hess<\/strong>, Mitchell Simmons<\/strong>, Talmage Corey<\/strong>, and Christian Simon<\/strong>).<\/p>\n
