Baker had already won the 200 IM and 100 backstroke and finished the trifecta with a win in the 200 at 1:48.44. The Olympic silver medalist in the 100 missed <strong>Elizabeth Pelton&#8217;s<\/strong> NCAA, American and US Open record from 2013 that was a 1:47.84.<\/p>\n<p>NC State senior <strong>Alexia Zevnik<\/strong> placed second after pushing Baker the whole way at 1:49.09. Zevnik is now fifth all time in the event. Kentucky freshman <strong>Asia Seidt<\/strong> placed third at 1:49.63 and is now 9th all time. Kentucky had two other swimmers in the A-final with <strong>Danielle<\/strong> and <strong>Ali Galyer<\/strong> placing fifth and eighth. Kentucky also had <strong>Bridgette Alexander<\/strong> place 13th in the consolation final for a whopping total of 45 points, putting them in 13th place. <strong>Tasija Karosas<\/strong> of Texas, <strong>Clara Smiddy<\/strong> of Michigan and <strong>Kennedy Goss<\/strong> of Indiana also placed in the top eight.<\/p>\n<p>California has now won seven NCAA titles in the 200 back.
